I absolutely have no clue why verizon somehow manages to get my address wrong every time!!!
When placing the order, everything looks correct, checked multiple times to ensure the shipping address is fine. However, delivery day comes and I get "delivery attempted..." from FedEx. Happened for 12PM delivery last year and Z Fold 3 last month. Each time I would have to do a 3 way call with Verizon and FedEx in order to get them to hold the device for pick-up.
First time, no apartment number was on the shipping label. Second time, apartment number repeated. Wow. Brought the issue up to the agent I was on the call with when resolving the Fold 3 issue and they made sure to double check the address (it was fine) and updated it from their end just to MAKE SURE.
This time I placed the pre-order around 5:07 AM with estimated delivery for 9/24. Everything looking good ha??? Nope!
I thought I'd check on my suspicion about the whole shipping debacle so I don't have to do hold for pickup again so I go into my order details. Lo and behold, something was off again with the shipping address. Street address was somehow off, missing "T and L" from "TRL". How???
Alright, I tried reaching verizon the next day, Saturday. Finally got an agent and explained the problem. They couldn't edit the address, just cancel and place a new order. I expressed concern that the delivery date might be pushed back and the agent goes on to lie saying all orders will be delivered by 10/01, 9/24 was just the shipping date
Obviously I knew this was false because I had gotten other phones on release day but I didn't really care too much. 10/01 is just about a week's delay. I wanted to get this shipping address thing done once and for all. He canceled the order and we placed a new order. Result was the same. Address looked good before placing then something changed after the order was placed. I was just astounded.
Well, canceled that order and finally got an agent over the phone. Placed the order through the phone and the address was correct this time. This agent over the phone seemed like they knew what they were talking about a little bit better that the one in the chat.
So, in the end, I couldn't find out why the address kept getting changed after I placed my order through the website but got the address correct for the most recent order at the cost of not getting the phone early
