Actually went well for the trade this time. Two other years it was delivered but never anything until we escalated. And then it still took like a month. But at least it was finally approved. Can't find the tracking anywhere, but the VZW trade in status shows I shipped it Tue Oct 27, and I'm almost sure it showed delivered on tracking Fri Sep 30. Then it shows the trade was approved Thu Oct 4.
ok thanks.

I’m so excited, my 128 GB Silver 14 Pro Max finally shipped yesterday. I ordered it a Verizon store on 9/30. It says 2 day shipping by 8pm so hopefully it’ll be there for me to pick up tomorrow!

For those who took advantage of the $800 trade in offer, how is your experience going with shipping your old phone to Verizon?

I went to the UPS Store to ship because Verizon sent me a prepaid UPS label with my new phone although the new phone came via FedEx. The UPS clerk was very busy and tossed my package to the side. That concerned me but nothing I could do. I ask how much for insurance and he stated that I could not add insurance because the shipping label can’t be altered. He said Verizon has already prepaid insurance with the shipping cost. He was not believable but once again, nothing I could do. He did give me a receipt with a tracking number but so far all the tracking says it that my package was received. No movement whatsoever. According to the label, the destination is less than 2 hours drive from the UPS store where I shipped from. I was expecting by the next day to see the tracking say the package was delivered.
1. The Verizon shipping label is UPS ground take 5 to 7 days Verizon get it .

2. After Verizon receive it, it will take days to update on your account even if it’s delivered early.

3. based on your location probably should’ve been two days for Verizon get it ..

All of you folks ordering 1TB, are you doing so because you keep many files on your phone and might run out of space? 1TB is a lot of storage. I have that amount on my iMac and MBP and don't even come close to maxing out, and I'm a professional musician! I'm just curious.

Order on Sunday and got it today that was fast 🙂 1 TB

The phone automatic activated I was imagining you have to call Verizon for esim but was wrong...

I bought the 512gb mainly because I want the original sized photos/videos on my phone and in the cloud. Had a 256gb and I was running out.

Today I received an email from Verizon confirming they received my 12 Pro Max trade-in and values it as $800 distributed as $22.22/mo for 36 months. I mailed the phone to them exactly one week ago today. UPS tracking says Verizon received it 4 days later. Hopefully, my next bill will reflect the $22.22 credit.

So how do everyone like their new phones so far? Me personally, I love my 14 Pro Max. It do everything I wanted and I have no regrets upgrading. The dynamic island is amazing, the Pro Motion is a huge upgrade coming from the 12 Pro Max. The screen is so bright outside and I love that about it. The battery life is loads better than the 12 Pro max also.

I’m going to enjoy my 14 Pro Max as much as I can until September 2023, when it’s time to upgrade again.

Apple has announced the iPhone keynote for next month. Is anyone upgrading?

It is possible that we will be trading in our two iPhone 12s for 15/15+ and passing the 13s down to our kids. A lot will depend on the trade in deals and phone plan requirements. We skipped the 14 year because it wasn’t enough change from our current models and we had great battery life still.

A few months ago, I told myself I wasn’t upgrading until next year. A few weeks ago, I changed my mind and will upgrade this year as well as next year. I’m going to work on selling my 14PM cases.
What made you change your mind? I haven’t seen any compelling rumor that has me itching to ditch my 14 pro max.

I’m going to pay outright and trade in my 14PM. I love the purple but not enough to keep it as a backup phone. Besides I have the 12PM for that. If Verizon didn’t have a 36 month lease, I would’ve probably traded in with Verizon vs Apple.

I can’t really say. As it get close to September, the upgrade itch always hit. I even went so far as to ignore the rumors this year until July, when I was home for 6 weeks due to a medical emergency and I had too much time on my hands, so I was on MacRumors for several hours and couldn’t ignore the rumors.

I do not love the 36 month trade in plans but knowing we typically keep phones for 4-5 years as we pass them through the 5 people on our phone plan, it isn’t a deal breaker for me. It would be a rare situation that we wouldn’t have at least 1 line available for upgrade.

We never keep backup phones. With 4 phones in the house we can get by until the Verizon store 65 miles away opens. My husband had his 7+ spark and start smoking after failing to charge all night (using Apple cord and plug-in). We ordered a phone for pickup early the next morning and just drove to the store to grab it. Finding a Verizon store is MUCH easier than finding an Apple Store in my rural area. It is seriously easier for us to buy a new phone that swap out the battery. 🤦🏻‍♀️

That makes a lot of sense for your family. My daughter’s service is with T-Mobile since it’s cheaper and I get a good deal for her trade ins. 24 months is sufficient for her.

I hear ya. I used to get that too a bit. But I work for one of the major us cellular companies and I’m an 8 year veteran at my job. I’m burned out on setting phones up lol. When I did my 14 pro max I didn’t get the thrill I used to. I will eventually do it but when the time comes. I did get a 1TB pro max so I am pretty set for while

edit: hope you’re doing better! medical stuff is never fun

Yes I’m doing better thank you. I have to admit that when I received ,y 14PM last year and was setting up eSim with Verizon it was a nightmare. I lost service to my 12PM and had to spend 2 hours at a physical Verizon store, and they still was not able to activate my phone. I ended up going home and speaking with tech support over the phone and they had the eSim activated within 10 minutes. My replacement 14PM was much easier to activate the eSim at Verizon. I picked a Apple Store that have Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T all within walking distance.

hi there, I'm currently not on Verizon. Planning on porting in 3 lines for iPhone 15 Pro (when it goes live) to get the new line upgrade/trade in credits. Just wanted to get advice (if anyone has idea) on what my game plan should be, since I need to sign up as a new customer and then do the new phones as well.

1. Historically, where do I get more trade in credit when financed through Verizon, is it ordering through apple.com or verzion.com?
2. Since I need to sign up, do I need to wait until pre-order go live to sign up? or can I sign up few days before pre-orders go live to get the new line promo and then pre-order?

I have 3 iPhones to trade in as well.
