The 3 year trade in just blows.....24 months, I could make work as we have our 2 kids on our plan and practice iPhone trickle down, so we technically have the phone for 2 years.
The deals just are not here this year like years past....For the first time since the iPhone 4.....I am waiting a bit to upgrade.
Honestly, I would like to see the new camera sensor in action, but not enough to pull me away from the 13 Pro Max I have.......

Well, Verizon really got me with the promos this year. I'm on US Mobile currently, so I was eligible for the $1,000 off the 14 Pro. Then with the $120 off the watch and half off the watch service line, I added the Ultra with the starlight alpine strap. Then I noticed I was now eligible for Verizon 5G home internet, which I was not before, so this I'll be able to switch my internet to them for $25/month instead of the $90 I pay now. With that saving, plus the promos, I'm getting a 256 GB 14 Pro in space black and an Ultra and internet for the same price as what I currently pay just for mobile service and internet service separately.

Ordering process was smoother than I expected given how notorious carriers are for messing stuff up, and my phone is scheduled to arrive on the 16th and the watch on the 23rd. The longest and toughest part of the process was getting my port out information from US Mobile.

They charge sales tax I believe and the upgrade fee is in there.

(For my 13 Pro to 14 Pro):
Apple trade-in credit for Apple financing: $600, total financed: $499
Verizon trade-in credit for Verizon financing: $600, total financed: $499, additional credit: $200/36mos

If I pay option 2 off early, I lose the remaining additional credits, but if I pay the device off anytime after the 1st month of credits, it's still a better deal than Apple trade-in + iUP or Apple Card financing.

it was basically a wash buying from Apple payments vs Verizon after trade in of my 13PM. I get a lower monthly cost through Verizon with the caveat that I’ll owe a “ballon payment” if I upgrade early next year. The total dollars are the same. On the plus side I’d be paying that balance with inflated dollars and the tiny amount of interest earned on the dollars I kept rather than making larger monthly payments.

Figured it out, they are including the recent bill that autopays in a few days. So confusing.

Then there was that extra language that was just downright confusing and false. I had a $100 credit paying out over 24 months. They said I would lose $130 of a $100 credit?!?!? In reality I'm losing a little over $8.

I just paid it off and said the heck with it.

Now I'm looking at upgrading and trading in our watches. Looks like you can stack the $180 trade-in with the 50% off a second watch! :D (But I might be able to get more out of the Apple Watch 6 on CL...hmmmm.)

I ordered the new iPhone 14 Pro Max 512 GB Deep Purple through Verizon this morning. I used my iPhone 12 Pro Max 256 GB Black as an upgrade. However, it won't be shipped until later this month, and it will arrive on September 30th.
I am looking forward to getting this new phone to try out the Dynamic Island feature.

That being said, I ordered the iPhone 14 Pro Max 256GB in silver along with the series 8 watch. Ordered thru Verizon - was able to get in a couple minutes early and breeze through for a 9/16 delivery date. 🙌

Anyone got any early faves on phone cases, outside of the Apple offerings? 🤔

How soon will we expect shipping updates? Called and the rep told me my order had passed the fraud check and should be getting a tracking number soon.

Wife is trading in her long-suffering 11 for a Silver 128Gb Pro Max along with a Series 8 Watch. Agent at our Verizon store quoted her a delivery date of late September (29th I think?) for the phone - forget the watch's date.

Given that she keeps her devices at least as long as I do, we should be good in this house for a while :)

That deal is suppose include discount plus money for the trade-in. Since you have to pay $266 in the scenario, they are only giving $320 for your phone (just like Apple) and $534-$320 = $268 discount.

IMHO I don't think its worth being hog-tied to Verizon for 36 months. For 36 months I want something else in addition to what's being offered.

I’m trying to understand your math but I am not getting it. Verizon will credit me $800 for my 2 year old phone over 36 months. That is $22 per month. If I decide I want to trade in my iPhone 14 in 2 years, I stop getting the bill credit. I will have to pay off the remainder of the phone, plus $264. But I did already get $528 off my bill from Verizon. How did Verizon only give me $320 for the phone? They are not taking back the $528 they gave me already, they just will not give me the additional $264 that I should be getting. $800 - $528 trade in credit over 24 months means I miss out on the $264 additional credits I would have received had I waited the full 36 months. I really don’t understand how you are telling me I only get $320 for the phone…

I ordered this case. It was delivered today to the Amazon locker, so I have to pick it up tomorrow. It was $15.99 and had a 5% off discount. Also Totalle have a 20% off promo (UPGRADED) through 9/16.

Over the years I’ve seen it where you won’t get a shipping confirmation and tracking number until the day before launch. Usually seems that VZW orders see the most movement on the Wednesday before though. They ship directly from their US warehouses so you won’t see movement or tracking numbers this weekend or Monday like a lot of those who ordered directly from Apple (which ship directly from China in most cases).

I preordered through Best Buy and they said to process my trade in with Verizon to get the promo of $800. When I do this it only gives me $200 for my ip12 mini. If I process my preorder on vzw website I get the full $800.

I only ordered thru bestbuys because I get free apple care+ with total tech membership.

Anyone know how to process the trade in to get it to show $800 and apply the bill credits?? So confused…..
 
Upgraded plan to get best deal on iPhone trade in and my iPhone 14 order got cancelled. Gonna head into the Verizon store to hopefully fix this. Hope I don’t lose trade in promotional deal.
 
Both my wife and I are upgrading from iPhone 11's, so for us, going to the Pro Max will be a big jump. We contemplated getting the 13 Pro Max last year, but our phones were fine and the battery life was still very good. It just felt like time to upgrade, since she started noticing recently some issues with cellular performance on her device. We'll be good for at least another 3 years, hopefully more.

Anybody used "Bill" as a method of payment? CC payments required CVV verification that wasn't working at the time of pre-order for me throwing errors left and right. So, I used "Bill" as a method of payment and upgrading two lines in rapid succession made all kinds of artifacts appear in their system. It looks pretty screwed now, at least the "next bill" part of it.

Also, could somebody share detailed information on VZ 36 months promo that was displayed during line upgrade process (with personal details removed/painted over, of course)? I can't seem to find it anywhere now

Ordered my 14 pro and AW ultra separately, both with trade-in deals. Hopefully I couldn’t have gotten a better deal by doing them together?
