Carrier Verizon iPhone 16/Plus/Pro/Pro Max US Pre-Orders, Orders, and Delivery Status Thread (2024)

Question if anyone knows... I ordered my mother's phone for my line and my phone for my mother's line to optimize trade value. Can I swap the lines online (preferably before) activating these two phones the first time, or do I have to go through customer service?
 
Verizon dropped the ball. Not getting my phone today and I ordered at 8:01 day one. They are saying there are delays

That’s what i was told yesterday….crazy that they have no estimate for those of us that ordered right away. It could be next week or it could be mid October like those who order today.

Ordered at 8:20 after issues on the website. It's out for delivery today. Very surprised.

That stinks. Which version did you order? It seems that they had a certain quantity on hand, in county and ready to go, but I could see where the most popular ones would be sold out quickly and hence delayed. I ordered a black 16 Pro 256, on the 14th around 10pm, latest shows it should be out on a truck shortly with delivery estimate by 2:45pm.
 
OMG FedEx...yuo got to be kidding me. I live east of Phoenix AZ.
Somehow Fedex has my phone in Portland! Now it is delayed until Monday!
Makes no sense to me. I called FedEx and they told me it was delayed due to high volume.

How big are the boxes that Verizon usually useses to ship phones out in?

I know Apple uses boxes that are barely bigger than the phone itself, but for some reason whenever I’ve seen boxes from Verizon, they’re always look giant!

Whenever I’ve tried to swap lines with Verizon, using eSIM, it required me to do it over chat or the phone. I haven’t been able to swap lines myself since Apple got rid of the Sim card.

UPS, FedEx and the USPS have seen the paradigm shift to online ordering for nearly two-decades now, and they seem to be getting worse, not better.

Honestly I think they made a mistake and accidentally sent your phone to Portland. My tracking is almost identical to yours(down to the minute) and mine is out for delivery now. I'd call they back and ask for maybe an upgrade to weekend delivery if possible. I'm in Chandler.

I called them and asked for an explanation or any help they could offer. But they were no help at all. They said it was delayed due to high volume and there was nothing they could do. I also called Verizon to see if there was anything they could do or if any stores had them in stock. Nope no store had them.

It looks like Monday for me....
 
Mine has been out for delivery via UPS since 7am this morning with delivery expected by 7pm. Hopefully it doesn't come while I'm out running errands. Does anyone know if UPS us strict about signature required? I have a house now and I've always lived in apartments so this is new.
 
Mine didn’t arrive at the UPS hub to go onto the truck until 939am est this morning and it says by 7-11pm but I am hoping way earlier. Like wtf. FedEx>UPS
 
Had mine delivered to my office here in southern California.

No problems with UPS delivery. I received the phone around 11:15 am this morning.

Good times.

I like the new shade of Blue (ultramarine).

The phone’s color is noticeably more vibrant when viewed outdoors in sunlight.

Still no update on my account. Contacted verizon again today and was told my order was held up due to inventory issues. Would have been nice to have seen that update on my order page. They are waiving the activation fees for both lines which is whatever i guess. They said i would definitely have the phone delivered by 9/25 which i think is just the next delivery window they had and not based in any legit information.
 
Received my phone today and having nothing but trouble switching the Sims from one to the other anyone else having the same issue
