Looks like $1k off for 14 or newer if on the Unlimited Ultimate plan.

I was worried the trade-in offers would be restricted to the new (aka crappier) plans and it appears that was the case.

Yeah this is dumb. Trade-in prices should not be dependent upon having their newest versions of the unlimited plans they keep changing (and making more expensive).

I am paying $44/month and would have to increase that to $52/month, plus I’d lose free Apple Music which is another $10/month (same for all 4 lines) just to get the trade-in promo… which is then spread out over 3 whole years.

Yeah… hard pass.

Yeah, I'm on the old iPhone plan that is ~$50 month, this new one is $65/mo. per line, plus now Apple One Family is $15/mo. vs. free, so it looks like a net increase of at least $45 a month. I'm better off with Apple's trade-in offers...

Verizon is diabolical for making you do a 36 month term for phones. I’m on the 14PM and won’t get a discount if I get the 16PM despite having the 14PM for two years.

Yea that sucks. The massive trade is what is letting me upgrade. 36 months? Ridiculous

The new plan is $8 more a month on my current line but I lose free Apple Music. So $18 more per month to sign the 3 year deal. Some of my other lines would require $24 more per month to qualify for the trade promotion

Verizon hasn’t said anything yet other than what’s on Apple and it’s Ultimate only. Most likely it will stay Ultimate but they will post watch deals or something

Not sure but Apple’s store is only showing Unlimited Ultimate and Unlimited Plus, which is really dumb. $1,000 for Ultimate, $820 for Plus. But spread out over 3 years which is absurd. Any older plan… who knows 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's been like this for a couple years now, maybe three. We somehow went from yearly carrier subsidies, to two year carrier subsidies, to no carrier subsidies, now to three year carrier subsidies. And of course the plans never got any cheaper along the way.
