Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

My payment went through, but I also haven't received a tracking number. After speaking with Internet sales this morning, I was assured that the phones that haven't shipped yet will be shipped today with overnight shipping. The representative said that tracking numbers will arrive within the next 6 or so hours. Everything should be fine for those still waiting.

I'm a D772001 too. You should be fine. My phone was hanging around NJ all day yesterday and I'm guessing it is flying to Baltimore today. Verizon was stalling FedEx for those of us who had their phones shipped already.
 
Well............. last time I order from the Apple Store it also originated from Memphis. I think Memphis is more of a hub for Apple operations then a Fedex one.

Mines in Newark now too, going farther and farther away! One more day of madness.
 
I have a feeling all of the orders wont be updated, and your phone will still arrive.. they are really swamped.

Most big shipments that FedEx will do start in Memphis. It is the home base for FedEx.
 
Business Account and AmEx card

Anyone with a Business account that payed with AmEx get a shipping notification yet? i just checked on Verizon and it says order completed but no shipping info yet. Delivery date is still 9/21.
 
Just got my tracking number D771001. Should have it by 3pm tomorrow. :D

Crazy how many channels in Memphis there are.

Boggles the mind how many local Fedex Facilities the package has to travel to in the same state. "In transit, at facility, in transit, at facility". More recently, Shipment information sent to Fedex... Don't necessarily know what that means at 5am today if it's already been at FedEx but hey.. 24 more hours right?

I did not use AmEx to pay with my business account, but I am in the same boat, my business account shows a status finally of complete from a previous status of awaiting inventory. No tracking or shipping info yet.
 
Ordered with Verizon at 9am and now they are telling me it will be the 26th before anything happens. Order cancelled I don't deal with people who fail to follow through. I will buy my phone from apple on launch day instead of give Verizon money.

so annoying... been waiting patiently for my tracking number and just got two emails saying my order was on hold because they needed a 400 deposit. when i ordered (4:30 am est) they put that on my confirmation email. so why would that cause it to go on hold??? i don't even know why i'm being charged a deposit, i have great credit. it said the reason was "un available" whatever that means. called internet sales and the dude couldn't explain anything just that he needed an ok to process payment. he said i will still get my phone on friday but my ship date just changed from the 21st to 10/5. it better change back :mad:

Hey! Just curious, what state are you in? Mine's at Newark too and mine's headed to michigan. Most people's phones at Newark are headed to NJ/PA/NY, which is why I'm wondering...
 
Weirdly enough mine is in the Tennessee facility and its being delivered to mass? I know theres closer facilities like PA. As long as it gets here by tomorrow I'm fine with it though haha

same message as the rest...sitting in Newark but what stinks is that mine is shipping to Manhattan...I can practically see Newark from where my phone is being shipped to...

I can only imagine what activations are going to be like tomorrow between all of the pre-orders arriving and everyone at the stores...

Same here. 3 orders:
Upgrade: Completed, no shipping info.
New Service: Completed, no shipping info.
New Service: PENDING (got an 'attention' email that there was something wrong with the order and they somehow couldn't resolve it over the phone and suggested I place a new order! :mad::mad::mad:)
 
I have a tracking number on the order update page from verizon but no email and it doesn't seem to work on fedex's site. I'm not really worried (the computers are probably on strike/being attacked by tumbeasts) but I was wondering if anyone else had the same issue.

Better than me, I called today and the lady tells me that there is a hold on my account but has no idea what it is about!
