Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

My advise to all of you, go to bed. It's 8:41 PM today and I have no work tomorrow. I am waking up at 7am. After I wake up I am going to have a nice warm shower, eat some nice breakfast then prepare my iPad, iPhone and Macbook Pro in the living room waiting for FedEx to deliver my package between 8AM-3PM.

If it says Delivery on the 21st, trust me it will deliver on the 21st unless God himself does not want you to have it lol. Get some rest, you're going to need it. Some people are camping outside of an Apple/Carrier store as I type this. As for me and some of you, we shall camp in our living room.

Same here ordered @10:30am est but I spoke to someone at vw today and he told me to look for that shipping email on Monday ... Fingers crossed!!

The guy who sold me mine told me that in their system, mine was supposed to come in tomorrow. He even went as far to give me his cell number and said to text him at 7 in the morning and he'd tell me my tracking number. I don't know if I believe him.

When you say porting a number I assume that you mean that you are a new subscriber, so yes it should work for you.

That is why I asked, and that is good to know.

My order was put on hold for me to verify my identity. Finally got that situated today however I still haven't received a tracking number or been charged . Definitely not going as planned...

Ok, so I've notice that most of these comments are coming from out West (shipped out of Memphis), New York (shipped out of Jersey), and Texas (also Memphis). Anyone here in the Atlanta area or southeast in general? My order has said "In Transit" from Coatesville, PA all frickin' day.

Does that mean it's being driven here? Why wouldn't they just fly it to Atl from Memphis - that would take like 30 minutes. There seems to be a lot of knowledge about FedEx and their complicated logistics formulas. Can anyone share any insight into this?

I'm not stressing yet, but I've read through a good portion of the.... 5364 posts on this thread and don't believe I've seen anything about deliveries from Coatesville, PA.

Has anyone had any luck with FedEx pickup (in the event of missing your delivery?)

Are their locations open late in your experience? I am hesitant to leave a note for the driver to leave the package, as it could be several hours before anyone is home to pick it up.

Well my email said 9/21 and my shipping status says 9/21, but I called Verizon and they said I will be getting it sometime next week. Still have no tracking number either.

I dont hold out much hope anymore for getting mine tomorrow... every date I got says 9/26 even though my order confirmation came through at 11:06AM EST, I haven't seen any CC activity and no tracking of any kind.

Mine says that too and there has been no change to my status since I got the preorder confirmation. One thing though, I talked to my Verizon rep today and he assured me that I would get it tomorrow. He said on "his end" it says it will be there tomorrow and even went to far as to get me to text his work cell in the morning at 7 AM and he said he'd give me the shipping info because it would "for sure" be there in the AM. I don't know if I believe him, although I really want to what do you think?

Who is your verizon rep...some dude at verizon store?

Just call Verizon's internet sales and if you have a tracking number they will give it you.

No need to text anyone's cell.

Memphis is airmail hub. It'll take a flight to Rochester overnight, and you'll see it tomorrow.

My iPhone is in Memphis now as well from Coatesville, PA which is very strange since I'm in New Hampshire. Why go to Memphis if PA is a 7 hour drive?

Finally departed Memphis and now safely "At local FedEx facility". When I wake up tomorrow I expect to see an "out for delivery" status. Followed shortly by hysterical barking from my dogs letting me know the FedEx person is approaching the door with my new phone.

LOL, Yeah, we all think we've become experts at FedEx Operations in the last 24 hrs. Like we actually have the capability of knowing w/ certainty which plane our phone is on . All I know for sure is that FedEx Delivers on-time; more reliable than USPS. They are pulling out all the stops to deliver perhaps 2 million iP5's on Apple Launch Day with extra employees and extra routes.

Be kind to your FedEx drivers tomorrow (if your tracking slip says Est. Delivery Sep 21) or if the calls to Verizon resulted in them assuring you "you're on track for delivery 9/21". The phones are coming!

I hate to say this but I feel better knowing I am not alone. It just stinks that everything said 9/21 and now I may not get it on 9/21. I am so impatient.

I'd say call the internet sales dept and don't hang up until you get things squared away. If they say what is true to me, then supposedly they can have you put in a new order and they can bump it up while cancelling the original order. My order was supposed to be delivered tomorrow but they couldn't send it out today because payment was declined but who knows if the agent is telling the truth.
