Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

Its beginning to look that way..... :( I think allot of it has to do with no stock in the 16 (name your color here) Iphone category. I think that is holding up alot of the orders. So essentially, Apple is filling apple store orders first, and screwing over preorders from carriers. Which makes sense (sorta) because you can now order on apples website and have the phone the next day. I am not happy with how Verizon and apple is handling this. I have an order with VZ for an Iphone, they need to fulfill it. If someone who orders on the 26th is getting their phones before me, a customer whom ordered well before then, that is WRONG! I don't care what the size of the phone they ordered is.

Well there are articles that suggest Verizon customers have been getting their phones a lot sooner than other carriers. So maybe that's why your getting it so soon. Besides, the article did say everyday their coming in faster and faster. :eek:

Wonder if Verizon is not selling as many as AT&T. AT&T has had every iphone model, so more would be eligible for upgrades, while many Verizon ip4 and ip4S folks are still under contract.

I agree, but it sounds like Apple is the one at fault here (at least more so than Verizon)

Thats what it appears as when I check the order status. Maybe I will get lucky and they will both be in the same package. But they were ordered separately, and I doubt they figured out the address matching (even though they are on the same family plan) in all the pre-order madness they must have had going on.

How to cancel pre-order?

Anyone know how cancel a pre-order quickly?

I've had a few apple store reservation opportunities come up but cant do that since I have this one reserved.

Can it be done quickly?
 
Figured I would update. Both of my iP5 phones arrived yeasterday. Both seem perfect. No flaws (black 16GB models). Ran one down to 1% and then charged. The other arrived with 75% charge so draining that one today. Haven't gotten them activated on verizon yet though. Doing that today. I played with mine for a good amount of time yesterday and it took awhile to drain. Had to throw on a movie in Netflix on wifi to drain the last 20%.

Oh, and I messed up on the order date. I ordered on the 16th of Sep. forgot that I had to wait until 12pm for the store to open.

I also get 3-4 bars of service in my house now whereas with AT&T I would get none to maybe 1 bar. Kept dropping calls at the house because of it.

Pending charge on Thursday. Already posted. Still no tracking info.
Hoping to get it soon, i was ok with waiting but now knowing they charged me, Im getting antsy:eek:

Well, my iPhones (one is my wife's) came yesterday- a week earlier than expected.

Turned the phones on and they instantly moved our numbers from T-Mobile to Verizon.

The phones are in perfect shape- I had taken them out of the box very carefully, and inspected them before I even took the plastic protectors off the screen and back.

They immediately went into their silicone cases- nothing fancy, just Rocketfish from BestBuy. A bit pricey (has to be the first thing I've bought in a BB in years.) but they'll do the trick for now.

The first app I downloaded was SpeedTest- the LTE hit about 28kbps or so... it's blazingly fast.

I ordered the same day and time for the same two models and I have nothing...

Does Verizon update statuses on the weekends?

Attention: Anyone who has ordered from Verizon for a 16GB model (from 9/16 and onward) has yours shipped yet?

That one is for my wife, I have another one that was ordered through my company/business account. It was ordered 9/23, no way to check status on that one though. Black 64GB. All I have is an e-mail saying it was ordered.

A follow up to my original...

Still have blank Courier/Ship date under tracking info in the order status.

Verizon HAS charged my card, no more pending charge.
