Fedex shows the package came into Memphis at 7:55AM. It does not appear to have moved. Is that normal?

Thanks

It is not normal. I would call verizon immediately to ask them about this. There could be an issue with the order and it will be cancelled and sent back. This happened to my buddy.

Got it at 11:30 am today. Went from status change, credit card charged, shipping email, to here the next morning /afternoon. Ordered 9/15, 32 gb, black.

still nothing

Ordered 16gb Black on 9/18 around 12PM EST

Order Status:We received your order and it is in process.
Expected Ship Date:10/05/2012

Same status since ordering :(

I don't have unlimited calling, only unlimited text, so does this mean I don't have 2gb data for me personally?

I'm not sure if some else has already answered this, but you are getting things confused... and not surprisingly. Verizon has muddied the water with multiple ways to handle your account.

Speaking of wireless ONLY ... it used to be you bought XX number of minutes and XX number of texts. If you had a smart phone, you also had to buy a $30 data plan that USED to provide you with unlimited data.

NOW - Verizon is grandfathering in the XX number of minutes and XX number of texts plans if you upgrade, BUT you no longer can get unlimited DATA. Verizon offers a "tiered" situation. It starts with 2 GB for $30/month on top of your regular wireless phone plan. You can buy more data (check Vz's website for the costs).

AND - as if this isn't confusing enough, Verizon is currently trying to get everyone onto what they call "Shared Data" plans, which are structured completely different. It would be best if you talked with a Vz rep and see what would be most economical for your needs. Good luck!

That means its about to ship. When did you order?

Honestly I have no idea everything else is the same mostly but they have pushed my hip dates back a lot so no idea sorry I'm tired I misunderstood I ordered the 14 at 1pm ish

My 9/17 afternoon order for 32GB black will deliver today, according to the shipping notice from Verizon.

Well, it was just too good to be true. Fedex did not deliver today, so I called them. They blamed it on Verizon, of course. That Verizon generated the shipping invoice yesterday, which made Fedex say delivery would be today. But Verizon did not actually get the phone shipped until today. You would think that Fedex might have caught that little variance and changed the estimated shipping time so I would not have had to take vacation today to sign for the phone .

So the story from Fedex now is that shipment will arrive on Monday. They did say that, rather than sign for the package, I can leave a note on the door instructing the driver to either leave the package in a secure place OR to take it to a neighbor who is either directly across the street or immediately next door to my house. And put my signature on the note. I'll just have the driver toss it through my garage dog door. Now don't anyone come by trying to steal my phone before I get home, or you'll probably lose a hand, and I won't need to feed the dog. ;)

Be encouraged....

Great news for users that pre-ordered an iPhone 5 from Verizon after the first shipment sold out. Readers are reporting that their iPhone 5 pre-orders are shipping early.

The iPhone 5 pre-order sold out for release date delivery early, but carriers are now catching up to demand with in-store stock and fulfillment of orders placed in early September.

One reader tells GottaBeMobile that his iPhone 5 pre-order shipped today, with a delivery date of Monday October 1st. This is only a few days ahead of the October 5th delivery Verizon promised, but a few days is something many users will be excited about.

Verizon is sending email shipment notifications to users when the iPhone 5 is available for delivery. Users can also check their order status online at Verizon Wireless to see if their Verizon iPhone 5 order shipped early.

Verizon iPhone 5 pre-orders are shipping early.

Users looking to purchase an iPhone 5 in store can walk in to many carrier locations or Radio Shack stores to buy an iPhone 5. Milo.com can check the stock of Radio Shack stores and other locations to help find an iPhone 5 in stock at a local store.

Apple is also offering iPhone 5 reservations for users willing to trek to the nearest Apple Store in person. The reservation system opens up after 10PM local time and closes at 4AM local time, holding an iPhone 5 for up to two weeks. The iPhone 5 reservation is available for Verizon, AT&T and Sprint iPhone models, but users can only reserve one based on local store stock.

Given the availability of the iPhone 5 at retail, users should soon be able to walk in to an Apple Store or carrier to purchase an iPhone 5 with no wait. We also expect Apple Store iPhone 5 availability will improve over the next few weeks.

Compared to the nightmare that is the AT&T iPhone 5 pre-order nightmare that continues to plague AT&T customers.

The iPhone 5 launched to great demand, with over 5 million devices sold in the opening weekend. These sales disappointed analysts and may be tied to difficulty producing the iPhone 5 display. The iPhone 5 display uses a new technology to keep the display thinner. The new technology is problematic to manufacture, but suppliers should work out the problems over the coming weeks.
