I don't have an iPhone.

Patiently waiting..

I can totally understand the excitement here, especially if this is the first one.
It's coming my friend, lots of orders to fill. Verizon told me September was a good month to order in because this is probably going to get worse with the holiday's coming up.

Don't mean to change the subject here, but does anyone have a release date on the new iPod Touch?

I hope so. I feel like my order has been frozen or cancelled without me knowing? I don't know. I won't worry unless I don't get any updates by October 1st morning.

and I heard mid October for the new iPod touch.

I have a 4G iPod touch and that is the only Apple product I actually own. Wanted an iPhone since the 3GS.

I've been seeing all of the posts about deliveries and such. I'm seeing dates from September 14 and I'm like dang, if these folks don't have any dialogue, then I'm not even gonna comment about 9/25 lol.

But, there doesn't appear to be a consistent way their filling orders, it's more like a lottery or something. Some people ordered later than others and their getting theirs, while others are still waiting. Interesting!

All of the orders shipping 9/16 9/15 and 9/17 (which were shipped today and yesterday) were 32/64 GB models.

I am thinking since mine is a 16 GB model that the 16 GB models are low in stock and Verizon must have a shortage, that explains why mine hasn't shipped yet.

I am a 9/14 order and still don't have a phone yet. I had to order through a corporate system so I don't have anything other than the CC charge. Was supposed to be delivered by 9/26 and still have nothing. Not sure if it shipped or not. Was hoping it would come in today, but not looking good. White 32gb.

I would call FedEx or Verizon then. :(

My company uses a third party to manage our cellular policy and all of the employee phones. We have a lot of US employees. Everything has to go through the third party for cell phone orders.

Calling Verizon is generally of no use because it's part of a large national business account. Phone orders and feature changes are all handled through a non-Verizon website. I'm pretty sure they take the orders through that website and have someone doing manual entry somewhere else, or the system is somewhat automated. The help desk is worse than calling Verizon. They just read off the same website information I have access to. It sucks because you are essentially left in the dark until the phone shows up.

In that case, you should contact whomever manages this stuff if you don't end up receiving it soon.

At least you get it for free though, right? My dad's company does the same thing yours is doing.

Misinformation.

I ordered by phone with Verizon on 9/18, and never got any information back from them. No email, text, nothing. I finally called this afternoon. They looked up the order, found it, and told me it has shipped and will be here by 3pm Monday (south of Boston). They gave me a tracking number. Unfortunately, it doesn't come up in Fedex, UPS, or Verizon's tracking system. I could go hang around on hold again to check the tracking number again, or just wait until Monday afternoon and see what happens...:(

I sold my 4s on 9/6 and have been dying here!

Verizon, 64gb, black and slate

Lucky :(

It will ship by Fedex (I think) and it just isn't in their system yet. Don't worry.

I pay for the upgrade price $299, they pay for minutes/data/text. I own the phone, but would be liable for contract termination or the contract terms if I leave. It's a pretty good deal, and much better now that I'm not limited to a blackberry. The only downside is that my employer has me connected via phone/email 24/7.

I used to carry around a work blackberry and personal iPhone. Employer just recently started allowing the iPhone and android phones. I sold my iPhone 4, and I'm stuck with an older blackberry until the iPhone 5 shows up. I relied on a 9/26 delivery note in my file and got burned.

I really got lucky. I ordered a 64gb black iphone 9/26/12. They charged my card yesterday and I got my tracking number today. I should get it Monday or Tuesday.
:)

I sold my iPhone 4 on 9/7 last year and was on a trac phone for 5 Weeks! This year, sold my 4s on 9/6 and have been on a trac phone for three weeks. Torture!

Verizon reps are saying that apple is fulfilling their orders first regardless of when you ordered with Verizon, then all leftovers are going to the carriers for distribution. What's even more crazy is that orders that were ordered well after preorders are being fulfilled first. Nobody has access to the preorder system. Even management is shut out. Nobody seems to be able to do anything so it really is a crap shoot when your phones ship. This is very bad business Verizon.

I am confused.

So it is completely random when your iPhone will ship?

Phone arrived at sorting facility in my city this evening. Scheduled for a Monday delivery, but wonder if it will be delivered on Saturday instead since it is already in town.

Hey man, any dents, scratches, or screen problems? (assuming not)

I still have no update :(

Is it being delivered to you or to corp?

Does anyone else's say we revived your order and it is in process payment not taken yet?

Mine said this yesterday right when they charged my card. About 8 hours later, I had a tracking #. I think you are getting close. I ordered on 9/15 around noon

Well there are articles that suggest Verizon customers have been getting their phones a lot sooner than other carriers. So maybe that's why your getting it so soon. Besides, the article did say everyday their coming in faster and faster.

Ordered my black 32gb on release day and it shipped yesterday. My wife's 16gb black ordered later that day has yet to ship. Both through Verizon with a ship by date of Oct. 5th quoted.
