Ordered Oct 2nd from Verizon online and Citi fraud sent me a text on Oct 10 asking if I charged $937.96 to Verizon on 10/10. I replied yes and still have seen no charge. When I called Verizon this evening (10/11) to change my shipping address (they said no way) the rep asked if she could do anything else for me and I asked about my payment going through. She tested my payment and said things were okay. Now my Verizon order status says
"We received your order and it is in process. Payment not taken yet. Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time."

Well at least it says not available at this time, I have the 10/26 ship date
 
Oh yeah I forgot to mention that my date was also OCT 26 until a couple hours ago when the Verizon rep checked my payment. More suspense, cheers all!

haha nice, ive had no change since i ordered, hoping for at least a "your order has been canceled" SOMETHINGG!!! come on verizon just take my money and give me my iphone :( lol

Call Verizon tomorrow. Or even right now. Bet it has shipped. If not ask them why yours isn't shipping but everyone else's is.

The first time I called Verizon and asked them about changing the address they told me no, too. I called a second time (because I seem to get different answers from different representatives) and she told me that she could not change it now, but when I got shipping confirmation/tracking number I could call them back and they could submit an "ITTS Ticket" to FedEx to change the address. She said it may take an extra day depending on what part of the shipping process they are in, but that it was a possibility for changing the address.
 
Well I'm using my iPhone 5 right now I love it!!!!!! Got it a week and a half early! Good luck with everyone else it's worth the wait!
 
Ordered 16gb white, 32 gb black on 9/21, my estimated ship date hasn't changed from 10/19. CC has not been charged yet.
 
Great now my verizon order status says: There is an error in your order. Please refer to the email sent for more information. Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time.
 
people have been receiving there's already, you got white 32GB. So you might get it sooner, as more people are ordering black 16GB

Hey this is irrelevant to the thread, but i can see under your quote, the devices listed you own says that you have a 24"iMac intel core i5. was there such iMac released, the transition to 2nd gen intel processor were after 2010 with 21.5 iMac's

Ordered iphone 5 16 gb white on 23rd Sept at 2 PM EST. I dont see any update on my order status and nor my CC is charged yet :(

Estimated ship date is 10/19. Idk why verizon is so slow.

It's not necessarily that. It's that the demand for the 16 gb's are just much higher than the other two models.

Really? I ordered a 16 gb a day before you and is scheduled to arrive today. Have you tried calling?
 
So my order error just caused me to have an hour long phone call with verizon where I had to reorder another one (I'm a brand new customer to Verizon paying off contract price) My advice is don't call Verizon unless you have an order error. When I called the first time the rep caused the error by running my credit card I think. If you have an expected ship date just hang tight, your card will be charged only two days or less before delivery. Luckily I was able to keep my expected date of 10/26 with my new order also, because its a black 64 I guess.
 
Order Status

To add to the 22nd/23rd order date posts:

I ordered 2 black 16gb from Verizon (online) on Sept 22 - my card was charged on Tuesday, they shipped Wednesday, and they arrived today.

My mom ordered a black 16gb from Verizon (online) on Sept 23 and her card has not been charged yet ...

Both of us had an original ship date of 10/19.
 
That implies that there were lots of orders on 22nd Sept as they are taking over 4 days to clear the back log for that particular day.

I dont think Customer Rep can do anything about it. Its in the queue and system ll assign phone as per number in the queue. Did calling make any diff for anyone?

My original order date was 9/25 with a ship date of 10/19 as well. Nothing, nada, nilch, nien! I guess we are the ones being treated like an old dirty dish rag. Verizon customer support laughed at me when I called to ask about people ordering after me and getting shipments many days before 10/19. It sucks.

This preorder stuff is nothing but a lottery. Verizon blames Apple and if I were to call Apple I'm certain they would do the same and tell me to refer to my carrier. That's okay though, keep playing hide and seek with us!
 
Ordered 32GB Black on 10/8 (estimated ship by 10/26) and CC got charged already on 10/11. No tracking number yet.
 
Why is verizonwireless still quoting a ship date of 2 weeks (10/26) when apple, the manufacture, is quoting 3-4 weeks? Sounds shady Verizon, you should know there is no way you are going to be able to fulfill that promise.

Ordered a 16GB black on 9/21 on vwdc. First time Verizon customer. Charged over the weekend. Shipped 10/9/12 Tuesday, received on 10/11/12 Thursday.
