I ordered mine through Verizon because there is a store across from my office. Unfortunately their website sucks and shows no information at all, not even a target ship date at this point. I think the original email I got said 11/2 but I haven't received any additional information since then. I ordered on 10/10.
 
But that isn't always the case. I ordered a white 16GB iPhone 5 on 10/5. My card was charged Sunday, yet my expected shipping date changed from 10/26 to 11/16. No phone, no email, no tracking number, nothing. Called Verizon and they said 10/28 was an automated day for the money to be taken out of my account, "assuming" that the phone had been shipped by then.

I haven't seen anyone else say anything about an automated payment on a certain day. If you were charged on Sunday and not affected by the hurricane then you should get shipping info today or tomorrow
 
I didn't order mine until October 25 and my expected ship date is November 16. Ugh! I was hoping to come here and read happy stories of phones shipping two weeks earlier than expected, I guess not. This phone has been out for a month now, I would think that the hoopla would have died down a bit, guess not. :(

I ordered my phone in-store but from what it looked like to me the reps use the web site to place your order, at least the interface looked the same. I stupidly thought that I might get it faster if I went to the store. I know it's just a phone but this is getting frustrating! The sad thing is they're not available anywhere within a 50+ mile radius of me. I have tried the Apple reservation thing (even though the closest store is almost 2 hours away), Best Buy, and Radioshack. Nothing. Yet my sister who lives in Florida says that you can walk in pretty much anywhere down there now and get one. Yep, I'm frustrated. #firstworldproblem

I hope you are correct. My CC company shows the charge for the phone as "pending," which means it will "clear" tonight, but the verizon website says the order is being processed but I haven't been charged yet. I presume shipping is a couple of days from wherever in the USA from where Verizon ships.

The problem with calling Verizon is that you hardly ever get "official, reliable" answers to these sorts of questions. :confused:
 
Still haven't seen any activity on my order. Ordered on 10/8 at Verizon store, with an expected ship date of 11/2. No charged card, status is still: "We received your order and it is in process" as it has been since the day of my order.

Any insight?:confused:

Status changed this morning to " Your order has been sent for processing"

It seems like lots of people have different messages displayed, but mine went from 'your order is being processed' to switching to a grid view that shows the order number on top, and the bottom showing 'Tracking number:' on the left, and an expansion button on the right. Currently when I open it, the only field filled in is the status, which says your order will ship by nov 2. I also just popped over to my online checking to see that I just received the charge from Verizon as well.

should be shipping soon then! A few hours after the charge and the grid appearing, I received an email from Verizon with shipping info.
 
Hmm nothing has changed for my 11/2, still says "We recieved your order and it is in process" and no cc charge or email :( everyone else's 11/2's are changing, just not mine yet :eek:
 
My credit card was charged sometime early this morning(before I woke up at 8am). I went home for lunch and I got an email from VZW giving me the shipment tracking no.

So... this was all done within like 6 hours or so from each other.

It arrives Thursday, Nov 1st. according to the estimate delivery date.

I was a 10/8 order for a 16GB Black.
 
Well, I'm one of those 10/8 (ordered) and 11/2 (expected ship) people. No action on my end though. No cc charge and no update on the VZ website. Hopefully I won't be too far behind all of you that are seeing some activity now.

Card got charged early this morning, and status changed to "your order has been sent for processing"

No expected ship date or tracking number yet.. hoping they don't push the ship date back like others have had happen. finally things are moving! I'm in Los Angeles, btw

Don't worry, you're not alone. No activity on my 11/2 either and no charge to my credit card yet. The wait is killing me, lol.

Thats what Verizon told me. I didn't think ot was right either, but some people got charged the day they ordered, instead of waiting til the phone shipped.

Update...

Ordered black 16GB on 8 October at Verizon store...
Credit card hit Monday, 29 October.
Got shipping notice and FEDEX tracking number today, for
delivery by 7 pm Thursday, 2 November.

10/12 order..3 phones 32gb white, 2x 16gb whites. Order stats shows grid view and cc charged...just waiting for tracking numbers. My estimated ship date was 11/2. But looks like I'll get them on 11/1 instead.
