This is BS, they charged me early yesterday (811.86, since I paid retail), and still no friggin tracking # or anything. Ordered right at 1AM MST on the 14th, and its coming from order location W779401. I can view my receipt as well on MyVerizon, so idk wtf is going on.

I know my card was charged yesterday night, but haven't received anything either. Waiting patiently... :rolleyes:
 
A few pages ago I saw some members (like myself) that pre-ordered and also purchase a case. On the confirmation email, it said:
CAS APPLE IPHONE4S HIGH GLOSS 1 $19.99

I am happy to see that on my receipt says:


WTLC5HGSILBK CAS IPHONE5 B $19.99

My order confirmation email said 4s too...I was wondering about that!
 
Ordered my phone on Verizon's site and the ship date still says 9/21. And it still says in processing. My card hasn't been billed so I don't think it's on the way like everyone else's who expect to receive it on 9/21. Anyone else have a ship date of 9/21? That would put an arrival date of around 9/26-9/28 ? I haven't seen anyone posting these dates?
 
I got the status that payment has not been taken yet. I called Verizon and they said that if I paid on the phone then, that my ship date would be 10/05 whereas before it was 09/21.

I unfortunately had to cancel my order and will try my luck at a Verizon store. I really wish they would've let me know earlier there was a problem with the billing situation so I could figure it out instead of just bumping me out of the queue. Oh well, thems the breaks.

Well crap I think this is what happened to me. What credit card did you use? Mine was a Chase Freedom.
 
I don't know if anyone knows this, but is Verizon letting people pre-sign deliveries? I saw a link on Apple's site for people to pre-sign their iPhone 5 deliveries if they know they won't be home when it's delivered.

I used the Apple pre-sign option before and all it does is print a page (a letter) with your name and tracking number on it saying "dear fedex, please leave the box here, here's my signature."

On other "signature required" occasions I manually did this by leaving a note to FedEx/UPS on my door with my name, signature and tracking number asking them to leave the box on my front door, and on each of them they did that. All they need is your signature on their electronic pad/terminals or on paper.

Of course having a multi-hundred dollar item sitting outside unattended is not the safest thing to do, hence the original signature requirement.
 
I'm waiting, just not patiently :). I mean, if they can charge my damn card, at least give me a tracking #, so I know I have it.

Does the order status link in your confirmation email work? Once that started working for me, I felt more relaxed about it all.
 
I woke up this morning to two emails from Verizon with a tracking numbers. My iphone preorders have been shipped :D
 
Got my shipping email and FedEx tracking number about 6:30 this morning. They charged my card and changed my status to "sent for processing" about 7:00 last night. Nothing left to do now but wait for the FedEx truck to show up.
 
The had an issue with my card declining last night and I got an email telling me that, so I called the number in the email and they charged my other card and this morning I have a tracking number so I guess it went through okay this time. 866-338-7390 if you have issues.....

Just curious but did email come from the card company or from where you ordered your phone? Same thing happened to me with zero notification. Just happened to catch a few posts on the board and caught mine. Called AMEX and charge has since been posted.

Am I correct that the card isn't charged until the phone is actually being shipped? If my delivery date had changed to 10/5 I would not have a pending charge for the phone yet would I?
 
Ordered Black 32GB iPhone 5 at 2:56AM EST on 9/14/12. My card was charged last night at 9:32PM EST on 9/17/12. I got my shipping notice email at 2:33AM EST on 9/18/12. Shipped by FedEx to be delivered by 3PM EST 9/21/12 with standard overnight shipping.
 
I had troubles with my email, did see a confirmation email but lady at Verizon said it is being processed. It said it would be here by Friday, GETTING WORRIED. The lady also said gaurenteed by October 5. I FRIGGIN WOKE UP AT 2:50 (EST) to get this when It opened up at 3. Don't tell me it won't be here by Friday. I need my shipping information!
 
So pissed, Verizon left my order hanging since 3am on Friday and never pushed it forward to process. I had to call a supervisor yesterday and she had to put in a new order for me, and now my estimated ship day is 10/5 :(

Is it worth it to call Verizon to see if there is anything they can do? I basically just wasted my time getting up early last Friday to order, and now I won't even get my phone for another 3+ weeks.

I agree - here's my story:

My credit card initially got declined because it was marked as possible fraud. (I'm hearing this is fairly common). So, I had to approve the purchase through my card company, then call Verizon and ask for them to reprocess - hoping it wouldn't add another 2-3 weeks to the order. Luckily, they said I'm still in line and that my card was charged last night. So... now I wait... (which really s*cks).
 
Ordered right at 3 am on Friday, from NJ.

As of right now, my card has been fully charged, and I am showing "Your Order has been sent for processing." from location D771001. No word on shipping yet.

I received two Fedex shipment confirmation emails this morning. I ordered the 64GB and the 32GB and ported numbers from AT&T.

My card is showing an authorization to VZWRLSS*D7721-01.

I would call them to see the status. They lost my order cause my credit was approved instantly, but it was never forwarded to the sales department. They had to create a whole new order for me and now I wait :/
 
There's a rational explanation for all of this...

I pre-ordered a 64 GB black iPhone 5 about four hours after they went on sale. I received the pre-order confirmation with a delivery date of 9/21. At this time, my status page still shows that my order is in process and lists a ship date of 9/21. My card has not yet been charged.

I'm in the same boat as a lot of other people, and I know it can be frustrating to know that so many people are getting their confirmation numbers, but it really doesn't make a difference. If your confirmation shows a delivery date of 9/21, then you should be fine.

Verizon is getting probably two million phones ready to be shipped within just a few days, and it takes time. As it gets done and the database gets updated, emails go out. Since so many of the phones are going out overnight, though, it really doesn't matter if they got shipped yesterday or if some of us have to wait until tomorrow. They will arrive when they are supposed to, for the most part.
