I'm getting worried. I read something about those who haven't been charged or got tracking yet had something go wrong with their credit cards which in turn put a hold on the order.What did I say about too fast!!

Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

I shouldn't let this drive me nuts but it is, I paid for the order via phone last night at about 8EST and as of now it still shows "processed, payment not taken yet" and I have no shipping info. Internet sales said the order is complete and I'm good to go for release day delivery, but I'm paranoid and don't have a receipt in my verizon account either..

Nonetheless, after 5 years overseas I'm finally back on an American cell plan. I ordered two ip5's through Verizon early on the 14th.
I just got my shipping update and it left Memphis late last night on 'Overnight Standard' shipping. Due to my current location, I've never had anything shipped out of Memphis via overnight NOT arrive in 1 day or less.
Is it possible that these might arrive early?

definitely call AMEX, I ordered with my charge card and they put a block on it since they thought it was fraudelant. Got it fixed last night and called verizon so they could try it again. My ship date went from 9/21 to 10/5 and now its blank saying ship date not available.

No, you should be OK. 3G/4G is dependent on the phone, not the data plan. I switched from 4G back to 3G with no hitches before.
My order status has now moved to in transit and it's I'm my state.... Hell yea moving along now baby
I got a shipment notification yesterday at 12:35pm CST and checked the tracking information -- it's supposed to be delivered today. I ordered a 64gb black iPhone 5 on 9/14 over the phone at 7:00am CST. The tracking page shows 2.0 lbs shipped via Standard Overnight - Indirect. I've attached a couple screenshots for verification (personal information is blurred).

Just called FedEx and they confirmed it will be delivered today. I'm not going to get my hopes up, but that'd be pretty sweet.
You blurred out 2 different halves of the tracking number in each screenshot fyi. Easily put back together

Most likely, no. The details for all of them say "Future delivery requested," which means Fedex is supposed to hold them until the actual delivery date. I won't be surprised if a couple slip through on Thursday, but I wouldn't count on it.
Calm down, you will still get it Friday, the same time as all of us that have tracking numbers!

Ordered white 32gb around 3:05 am EST, received confirmation at 3:11 am. Status says "Your order has been sent for processing." Card seems to have been charged sometime overnight.

I finally got charged last night, but I still have no shipping notification. Order confirmation email said 9/21, but it's frustrating seeing so many get their shipping emails while I still wait.

Last night my AMEX declined the charge attempt thinking it was fraud. I called AMEX, then Verizon to let them re-try the charge and it did process. Now my preorder still says no payment taken and no ship date.
I called Verizon and they said my payment was received and still scheduled for SEPT 21. But, i am also still paranoid like some others.

Thanks for the heads-up. I ordered a black iPhone 5 64gb and a white one at the same time, nothing else. I'm not sure what else it could be... maybe Verizon is sending me a box of chocolates for paying full-price!

Looks like this forum is making news - I just read the below article in the Wall Stret Journal this morning which singles out this Verizon Pre-order forum specifically! How many more golden tickets were there today?
From the WSJ:

MacRumors, for instance, a popular Apple blog, has discussion forums for people who preordered through each of the different U.S. carriers and Apple itself. As of Monday afternoon, the forum for Apple preorders through a Verizon forum alone ran to more than 39 pages.
To give a sense of how desperate people are to get hold of their iPhones, there were streams of comments comparing the status of preorders or Apple aficionados worrying about payment snags.
But not every message was one of fear. In at least one case, a lucky winner posted a screen shot of the golden ticket: a notification email that their iPhone had actually shipped.
