I'm telling you that Verizon has better range of cell phone coverage. And that is pure unexaggerated truth. In my own experience, I have found that where I travel, a Verizon phone allows a phone call while other carriers do not unless you move to particular rooms or drive down the road. I'm speaking of upstate NY and parts of Arizona as two examples that come to mind. That is my own personal anecdote true but it is repeated by so many I meet personally and read on the internet. And all it takes is a look at an honest coverage map.
Now I recently switched to ATT for an iphone and as I live in an urban area in AZ it serves me well. But in my office for instance I lost the ability to make calls unless I move to the hallway. No big deal. But when I go back to NY (upstate), I need another phone in some locations. Luckily it won't be often enough during this contract to require a buyout of the contract. ATT already reimbursed me for a week of lost coverage the first month with the phone back in NY on vacation. That was nice*.
Suffice it to say i will stay with ATT for the contract since I will be in the urban area but will go back to Verizon when its over.
Your question you see needs qualifiers. For those who live most of their lives in urban areas only, ATT is just fine. But if you really want coverage to go with you in more places then Verizon is the service you want. The irony is that someone from a big city with ATT traveling in a rural area probably thinks no one has service when in fact a Verizon customer would. I've experienced it. But if you're just passing through, no big deal.
Anyway, you were pointing the finger at others suggesting they might be Verizon employees. Are you in fact projecting Mr. ATT employee?
*Turns out the coverage was as bad as first thought. A hard reset improved it a bit but not to the quality of verizon customers. At the worst, the new iphone had no bars while another iphone did and that clued us in that something more than poor coverage was afoot.
