Verizon iPhone Orders Already Shipping

WTF Verizon, 2 days after placing my order and I still get the samd god %^&^ crap. Order status page is unavailable and nothing on fedex or ups. Give me a break!:mad:
 
My Mother ordered one at a little before 3am and she has yet to get a shipping notice. If we try to check the status it just gives us a error.

Kind of sucks since she lives about 30minutes away from West Cherster in DE.

I always bought my iPhones in person at the Apple store, I think I will continue that when the iPhone 5 comes out on my network (At&T).
 
I have a scheduled delivery for Monday as well with UPS. Do they have a form anywhere on their website I can film out and stick on my door? Or is a personal signature required? I won't be home by 3pm.

If her credit card got charged the phone was shipped
 
I just posted this in another thread, but thought that I'd post here as well. Just can't understand this.

I'm tracking another shipment of mine (large piece of furniture) that was shipped on the 2nd. The updates for the furniture are below:

Feb 5, 2011 7:51 AM On FedEx vehicle for delivery LINCOLN, NE
Feb 5, 2011 6:15 AM At local FedEx facility LINCOLN, NE
Feb 4, 2011 1:05 PM Arrived at FedEx location LENEXA, KS
Feb 3, 2011 12:51 AM Arrived at FedEx location HAGERSTOWN, MD
Feb 2, 2011 5:56 PM Arrived at FedEx location ASHLAND, VA

2 things that are just unbelievable to me:

1. This huge piece of furniture which was sent FedEx Home Delivery is traveling a hell of a lot faster than a small box with a phone in it that is traveling Standard Overnight.

2. Where are the departure scans above for each location? They stink at getting accurate information in these updates. The package just magically appears in another location from time to time. I'm really hoping that this is what's going on with our Memphis packages. Hopefully they've already left and are on their way, but just not showing up on our tracking pages.
 
I haven't ordered a Verizon iPhone. I am just feeling left out because is thread is up to almost 3000 replies and I want to be one of the cool kids.
 
My CC still isn't showing as being charged, but I did use a debit card, and I belong to a small employee credit union. It may just not have posted on their online banking yet, sometimes they are slow.

As an update, I just got smart enough to call the online banking, since I remember them telling me that it updates real time, and it was charged!!!!!
 
CC has pending payment... check order status page is down... upgrade page has my phone grayed out... calling 611 says my order has been processed and shipped.

Mind you I got my order confirmation at 2:35pm on the 3rd which is when I pre-ordered the phone from Verizon's website.

I'm in Chicago, all signs are looking good, however, no email of shipping confirmation.

As another update, that sounded really stupid. You can't call online banking, I called the telephone banking number!!!:D
 
Still NO information for business account customers who ordered at 3am right at the beginning of the preorder. our accounts simply say PRE and have no reference number or anything....its so stupid

pretty much exactly the same as me....though when I call the 611 number it says my order reference number ending in 0000 was cancelled....

which is true....i did cancell one order and then reorder....but that one ends in 0000 as well...lol

i called yesterday and they said it was fine....my cc was charged....order status page is down...and my upgrade option is grayed as well.....

i'm just hoping that these boxes continue to move closer to their destinations all weekend and that we will get our s on monday as well as the others whose pacakges started their journey a day before us...
 
For any who are wondering, I have just called Fed Ex and was told pick ups are not available at the Newark, NJ hub. / shrug

Some of you people need to relax. Big product releases like this do not use the normal shipping processes. Apple (and I'm sure Verizon) negotiates special bulk shipments with the carriers. The gadgets are typically stockpiled ahead of time at shipment centers versus originating from the seller's warehouse. I'm sure there are some variations and inconsistencies in how the scans and status updates are being done.

At least you got a departure scan, mine is still in Memphis according to the on-line system.:mad:
 
Just talked to a Ver. Supervisor, they said they are no longer authorizing anymore pickups from fedex or ups, that if we want to take it up with the courier then that's up to us....sounds like someones getting pissy. Honestly, if they didn't expect this...then they should have thought of a much better plan of action.
