no activity for over 24 hours, now it is already 3/4 of the way here. good deal.

Nah. Activating won't be an issue. If he did somehow make up getting it then oh well.

I still think verizon wants initial buyers to activate before the 10th. Not only does it help with relieve some system burden, but it can be a test to make sure all is working for activation.

I totally agree that they most likely planned it this way to relieve strain on the 10th, but I'm just saying it's shady that he won't post a video of it. Either way, he's still one lucky bastard.

Yeah but who knows if it is even him lol. As mentioned it is being questioned

Just remind me to tell you "I told you so" when I have an iPhone 5 this summer, and you are stuck with an iPhone 4 on a two-year contract.

I'll be laughing when I sell my iPhone 4, still under contract, make some money, and not have to pay much for the iPhone 5. It's worked perfectly the past 3 years. No reason the iPhone will be any different in that respect.

Well if it wasn't for the ice storm, I would have mine today as I was able to convince fedex to hold for pickup.. at least i will be able to go early in the am monday and get it..

Or strategically place phones like I have. Contract up in January June and December on our 3 phones. Reason I went with 16gb version this time. Will probably due 1 year contract the iPhone 5

Yeah it really isn't an issue with the iPhone if you want to get one under contract by selling your old one. You could fetch $500 for it if it looks mint. If you subtract 200 from what you paid for it youve got a new iphone 5 for about 299 instead of 599. It's reasonable.

I've actually sold my 3rd gen ipod touch for $200 and my old droid for $200 already (incredible I know!) so I'm actually making money by getting the iPhone now!

Again...where do you see that? Someone asked if iTunes was needed or not but nothing was ever said. I still think it will be like regular activations although iTunes could come into play.

The poster on youtube said this

"Activated threw iTunes only.

And it doesn't appear that they're the same person...but at least it was answered by the poster of the video.

Storms sucked. Caused issues for super bowl events in my area as well

I stand corrected. For some reason the comments didn't refresh to see that. What does having to do it through iTunes change? Real question since I have never gone that route

Just remember that you can only sell it to a Verizon customer or someone who wants to be a Verizon customer, Don't expect to see the same $400 to $500 prices as we see for GSM phones that can be used all over the world.

i disagree w/ that. i just sold my droid for 400, it was the lame. besides, now that verizon has iphone, A LOT of people are going to be wanting any iphone they can get. i have four friends that want the iphone but they are locked in the contract.

besides, i'd never trust to sell to someone out of the states.

Taking a break from laughing hysterically at the guy in the red feather down jacket http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFteyk61RkM

I need to interject and debunk any myth that the VZW iPhone 4 won't sell for $400 to $500 prior to the iPhone 5 release. I'm a PowerSeller and have been selling devices on eBay since 2003 and i'll be the first one to tell you, that yes it will. Yes, you are limited to VZW customers, but those customers pay generously for devices when the full retail of the device is considered. I just sold a few Samsung Captivates for $400; the iPhone 4 will easily match that or surpass it.

iPhones retain much of their value so reselling and using that to put towards the iPhone 5 will not be an issue.

I now return to laughing hysterically at the red feather down jacket.

Apple products always sell at a good resale value. I wouldn't worry about that. Besides, having verizon means you can use your iPhone in more places in the good ole USA.

about to give up for the night....

hopefully there will be some tracking info waiting for me when I wake up....

If not, I'm going to assume that there won't be an update until Monday when we're back to business hours...

still holding out hope that when I get the tracking info it will show that the phone is well on its way to me due to travel over the weekend....but I think that the odds of me getting the phone on monday are getting slimmer and slimmer.....I'm thinking Tuesday....

Very possible. I posted a few days ago that I used to get the product before the tracking number when ordering from vz
