Verizon iPhone Orders Already Shipping

Welcome to Verizon's customer base! No-one there knows what they are talking about. You get one answer, you call back and you get another. That just makes you call more and eventually that just makes you a PITA. I recently spoke to someone and he guaranteed me this and basically you just have to ask for the supervisor.

ANY PHONES THAT ARE STILL SHOWING SHIPMENT INFORMATION SENT, WILL BE PICKED UP TOMORROW AND WILL BE DELIVERED TUESDAY.

my iphone has been tracked, and is currently in a UPS customer center 45 minutes away. unfortunately they are closed and I won't see it until tomorrow.

weird thing is, i ordered my iphone at about 2:45am during the preorder. not sure how i got in. anyone else get in there early?
 
Tomorrow is going to be hardcore.

I work tonight from 6p-6a. Get home around 7a. I took tomorrow off, for another issue, so at least I won't have to work another 12 but basically when I get home I'll get to sleep an hour or two before the wife goes out w/ my daughters for school so I'll be awake to pick it up. Then crash again when she gets home around noon til 3pm. Then we have to go to a funeral (why I took work off).

Going to be a long long day.

Okay, so I know with VZ I won't be able to, say, make reservations while on the phone with someone at the same time BUT suppose I am nonchalantly surfing the web, facebook, whatever, and a friend is trying to call me - will I have the option to stop browsing and pick up a phone call? Or because I am browsing, will the phone call just not even show up?

pretty sure they'll allow you to stop the browsing and start the phone call. it's not like data is new to CDMA phones, it's just that this particular phone, being on another carrier, has never had this problem. also, you are able to do simultaneous voice and data while on wi-fi, and they are resolving this problem so that CDMA phones can do it anyway within the first half of this year.

my shipping info got updated on Fedex. Looks like I'm getting it on Tuesday as it's coming through Memphis, TN

Ship date was Feb 6th at 10:52am.

Edit: I got my email this morning at 6:27am.
 
Not quite sure why people are so up in arms over their packages not arriving on Monday (tomorrow). Verizon said on or by the 10th. Remember this is a PRE-order, so any arrivals that are ON or BY the 10th are on time. Who cares if your order comes on Tuesday? It'll still be 2 days early. If you're going to cancel your order, you'll only be harming yourself. Verizon could care less what you do. If you've wanted this phone and waited for it for this long, what's an extra day? Just relax and enjoy the remnants of this weekend! Your phone will be here soon enough.
 
jessicak0, where have you read that verizon is going to allow voice/data on CDMA? I knew this was something that would be able to be done on LTE, but not CDMA. If they do that would be way cool. Coming from att its gonna take a little adjustment for me to not be able to do that, but the idea of making a call and finishing it without it dropping is worth more! :)

You are right... no talk and surf is a limitation of CDMA which Verizon is looking to rectify when it introduces LTE.
