Verizon iPhone Orders Already Shipping

Mine just got scanned into Fedex at Ontario, CA. They'll truck it up here. So seems Northern California is all Monday.
Mine departed from Memphis. I live in Chattanooga TN. I will post once I get it or get more info

Although I tried to order from V for like 30 minutes. I will be sending a letter, on my letterhead, voicing my dissatisfaction and inquire as to how they intend to make it up to me. (Maybe I can get a free case out of it, but I will not be holding my breath.)

The only difference between this image and mine is that my origin scan is a few minutes earlier, but my departure is identical. I am in Northeast Wisconsin.
So is there any truth to the story that you can pick it up from a fedex facility if it arrives in your town today, rather than wait for delivery monday?
You might have to be persistent. She kept insisting there was no way that they would have shipped. I think she really believed that because she seemed totally shocked to find a tracking number.
I've spoken with 2 reps now and they were both pretty insistent NO ONE should be getting their phones today. The "order has shipped" according to the rep, means that it's being shipped to the courier. Now I know better than to take the words of a rep, but IF BY CHANCE you don't get it today, don't be TOO surprised. Just informing you what I was told and to take it with a chunk of salt.

I called Fedex they told me to call Verizon to put a hold on the package so I can pick it up. Apparently Verizon put the request in. I called Fedex just now and they don't see anything request yet, im going to try again in about 1hr. ill keep you updated...
Finally got a rep to admit that some people will be receiving their phones today and/or Monday after the previous two reps insisted that shipping starts on the 10th. He said his colleague "filled him in in great detail" of what's going on.
Now if only I can get a tracking number...still on hold, being transferred to their "internet department".

Did you see the CNET video of the side to side comparison? They did various tests throughout a city with the phones side by side. It was interesting.
Though the true test will come once everyone gets their phone.
Mine is 884, I ordered mine really early and received my confirmation email at 3:07 am. Well I hope you feel better. I am going to try and sleep. I honestly hope I get woke up for the doorbell because of a delivery.
I got my email at 4:45 am. It was scanned in West Chester at 6:16 yesterday. The rep from UPS says it should come today, but they have no other information and it hasn't been scanned again. Im still skeptical.
Very similar story you and I. 2:56am I received order confirmation and later in the day, the status was updated to shipped. No love for Astoria in regards to tracking information, though.

I ordered 7 phones for friends and family on 4 accounts starting with mine at 2:52 AM on 2/3. Guess who is the only one without a tracking number ... grr. Verizon's online tracking is down. Automated said it shipped, and when I hit two to track it, it said I did not have an open order! And of course I got the csr line about nothing shipping until the 10th. I am just hoping Verizon fixes the tracking on their website.

Well the Internet Orders Department rep assured me there are no problems with my order and that it will likely ship before the 10th. She claims the orders are being filled in the order that they were received, which seems questionable, received my order confirmation at 3:07AM ET. I would think I'm near the front of the line. Oh well, at least I can count on getting it eventually.

That's kinda slimy man. Millions of people trying to get a product and none of the overall historic and much longer failures that AT&T's systems experienced and you want to send a letter to get a free case? Come on. Yeah the system went down, but who in their right mind doesn't expect that to happen when a product has been waited for for 4 years and it finally happens.

Same boat as you- I live in NJ and got the shipment tracking e-mail at 5:42a.m. today. It says my package was scanned in at West Chester, PA at 9:42p.m. last night. Here's to hoping
