Verizon iPhone Orders Already Shipping

Whatever. Sick of this crap. Should just have slept in Thursday and not been a zombie all day at work, since APPARENTLY people who ordered later in the day are getting shipment notifications. :mad:

Did you order using the name of the account holder?
Did you use a upgrade?

We had a HUGE snowstorm on Wednesday. A lot of Chicago streets are not plowed yet. Could be slowing the truck down.

Got the same message when I tried the same thing yesterday. I ordered from VZW and was shipped and on the UPS truck. Relax, you'll be fine :)

It's pending because it hasn't been shipped/received.

Yes, I am the account holder. Yes, it was an upgrade. Verizon system has the upgrade option greyed out when I go into My Verizon, saying that I've already upgraded and haven't activated my phone yet, so it's clearly keyed in their system.

Rockford's is going by FedEx. To make matters worse, the tracking page no longer has the anticipated delivery date of today by 3:00pm eihter. That could mean anything from the driver is running late to the delivery got bumped to Monday. Sure hope he still gets it today though!

Not guaranteed this time 'cause none of us payed crud for it.
 
IMHO: No one is getting a phone until at least Monday!

I will be incredibly surprised if anyone gets a phone delivered before Monday. It seems very unlikely since NO ONE has received one yet. If we were starting to hear reports of them trickle in (with pictures) that would be one thing, but it's almost 5:00 est and not one picture of an iPhone in hand. Not to mention I haven't seen one tracking page stating a delivery date of today or an "out for delivery" notice. Sorry guys i'm sad too. :(

Isn't it only guaranteed next-day if it's shipped before 6PM or something?

WE didn't pay for it -- but Verizon payed for it -- so the guarantee really goes to Verizon, not to us directly. Either way, until midnight hits, I'm not convinced it's not getting delivered today.

Yes, it's quite irritating. I ordered mine at 2:02 central time (had no idea it was taking them earlier, set my alarm for 1:45, sat down at 1:50 and was shocked that it let me in already). It said around noon yesterday that it had shipped, yet, no shipping confirmation email, no tracking number, no reference, NOTHING. Still nothing. I'm getting veeeeery upset that there are people who ordered after me who already have their phones in transit to deliver and I've yet to receive a freaking email.

There was one in Rockford, link working and everything, that said it was out for delivery at 10:14 or something this morning. they'll be getting theirs today.

I am in the exact same boat as you.


And now I checked and the charge for my iphone that was on my bank account yesterday is not on my back account.
 
Here are the requirements for Next Day Air (I put in next Thursday from West Chester, PA) -- This was the SAME as yesterday, but you can't quote past dates:

I've definitely questioned it myself. But it seems like everything is legit. The locations on the tracking page, the weight, etc. I guess we'll know sooner rather than later!

I have a links to packages that are arriving today too, I also have an html editor and such. Like i said no pictures of Verizon iPhones in anyone's possession. I'll put money on Monday. This whole thing seems to coordinated to be chance that everyone is waiting for a very late in the day delivery. I just don't see UPS/FedEx delivering a few million iPhones this evening. I hope i'm wrong. Plus, why would only one person be getting their phone? It really doesn't matter how close you are to the sort facility unless you're picking it up yourself, which as I understand UPS won't allow until after one unsuccessful delivery attempt.
