Ah! I think I see what you're getting at. Well as I had said in previous post I too use to work for Fedex and I touched on this subject earlier. It's true that some packages may fly in on Saturday, but they may not come in till later that afternoon, well after the Fedex office for pickup has closed. They will sit inside containers at the airport until they are taken to the station on the next day that it is open. I spoke with a buddy who still works within my old station and he told me that he checked my tracking number and my package is still sitting in Memphis and will fly out tomorrow.

it was a major hassle at first, but i made up a story about leaving the country on business and they finally did it for me. so i either get it tomorrow because the west chester facility is 15min away from my fedex location, or i get it first thing monday.
just keep calling and make up some story, its really about getting lucky and getting a vz rep who has a brain

Me - finally just got the reference number to work at fedex. Haven't been able to check my status for about 24 hours since the order status page went down.
Yeah, what's up with that? Verizon must be taking it hard from Apple right now.
Ok, great. And do you know for sure that the package will be at your local office by tomorrow? Or are you just estimating that, and asked them to hold it at the local office when it arrives?
i mean vz's west chester facility is 15min away from my fedex facility. you would imagine between tomorrow morning and 5pm tomorrow they would get the package, but who knows.
Spending this much on phones, I'm getting pretty ticked off on the lack of information being provided.
