I have my 3 credit applied to my bill. New iPhone 7 for $0. Awesome.
Same here for the first that was preordered and delivered on launch day. I have received notification on the bill that the other 2 will receive bill credits on the next bill.

We got 128GB iP7 x 2 for $100 each and 128GB iP7+ for $200. No activation fee since we ordered online. Just had to pay the sales tax.

We probably could have netted a total of $800 for the 64GB iP6 x 2 and 16GB iP6 that we traded in if we sold them on swappa, which comes to an average of about $270. If you factor that in, the discount ends up being $650 - $270 = $380 phone. We aren't complaining!!!

I also have 3 credits applied as of today which is a pleasant surprise. I figured that the "3rd billing cycle" meant that the first credit wouldn't start until now, meaning you'd have to keep the iPhone 7 for 27 months to get the full credit. Apparently not.
It's been stated from the beginning that the first credit would include the other two months' as well.

The only thing that sucks for me is that the iP7+ didn't arrive until mid-November so it won't be paid off until mid-November 2018. That means that we will likely lose 2 of the bill credits if we want an iP9+ at launch in 2018 since to do the trade in in 2018 at launch, you have to pay off the DPP first before you order.

Assuming there will be a similar trade in offer ...

This might work:

1. Add 2018 iPhone as a new line.
2. When final device payment on iPhone 7 Plus is made, port out the phone number.
3. Port in the number to 2018 iPhone.

But the overlapping service cost for the additional line is about equal to the cost of losing the final one or two trade in credits on the iPhone 7 Plus.

Right plus you have to port to somewhere and port back in, GV port costs $20 and my area code isn't eligible for GV port out anyhow.

Has anyone here got their trade in credits on their bills yet ? I traded in one phone on Launch day & another one 5 days latter.

Where do you go on My verizon to see the credits applied?

Update: I finally received both confirmation of delivery and credit yesterday. I believe someone else also mentioned getting notifications back to back, I received the full $650 (spread out over 24 months) for my iPhone 6 64gb silver phone. I originally ordered the iPhone 7+ 128gb silver phone on 9/22 and it showed to be delivered 11/09, when my local apple store showed the phone in stock (10/21) I was able to successfully cancel the order with Verizon and buy the phone in the apple store choosing the Verizon payment plan option. When I told the apple rep what I was going to be getting for my old 6, he said he couldn't beat that deal.

Sent USPS: 10/22
Delivered via USPS tracking: 10/25
Acknowledged online as received (Verizon.com) 11/1 (could have been a business day or two earlier)
Email confirmation of receipt and trade-in value: 11/22

So, you do need to keep the iPhone 7 for 24 months after doing this promo to get the full credits? If you replace it on the line with an iPhone 8 bought elsewhere, will the bill credits continue?

The credits are for the trades in device. You get them for 24 months or as long as the 7 is on the line. If you change your device before the 24 payments have been credited, you forfeit the remaining credits.

So if I get a 7/7+, I'm guessing next year (assuming Verizon offers the same deal), I wouldn't be able to use my wife's line to upgrade while trading in my 7/7+? I'd have to trade in her phone to make it work?

You wouldn't be able to have the iPhone 8 on the line you use for this promo at all if you wanted to keep receiving the bill credits.

What if you are on a family plan? Could you just move this phone (which you used for the deal) to another line on your family plan to keep getting the credits?

Confirmed with a Verizon employee the device IMEI has to stay on the same line for 24 months. So no. Sneaky promo.

Yikes. So there would be no way (assuming the rules stay the same) to get the 8 for my own use. :(

Doesn't sound like a great deal for me. I'm likely not going to want to use the 7+ for two years.

That's why they did the promo this year and probably won't do it next year. This promo is 100% benefitting Verizon, not the other way around.

You can always add another line if you can afford to pay for a 2nd line?

I suppose. But I'd be paying $240 ($20/month access fee for a year) to avoid forfeiting $325 worth of credits. So I'd be getting about 325 in year one and netting 85 in year two for a total of $410. I'd do better selling my 6s+.

I'm wondering what would happen if I upgrade my wife's phone to the 2017 iPhone next year and simply switch SIM cards. I'd still be on the installment plan. I think I need to call Verizon to see what they'd do.

You can still upgrade next year. I've asked 5 reps about it and all 5 said I could. As long as at that time you're at 50% or more of the payment (which with the credits you will be) you can just trade it in and upgrade. Yes your credits will stop but it's possible.

Careful now. What's true for one isn't true for all.

VZW gave me $650 for a 16GB iPhone 6. This means I'm getting a 128GB iPhone 7 for $4/mo. on my bill. That's a fantastic deal for me, who has no interest in currently switching carriers or upgrading phones every 12 months.

Understood, but I would be trading in an iPhone that is worth about $400 today in order to get $325 worth of credits spread out over a year. That's a fantastic deal...for Verizon.

Plus, I don't think Verizon takes trade-ins that are on an installment plan, so not only would I have to get hosed on my 6s+ trade-in credits, I'd have to pay the 7+ off completely to trade it in so I can get next year's phone.

I'm trying to figure out how to get the full $650 worth of credits but still have the option to get next year's iPhone. I think that's the only way this would make sense.

They do. The point of the installment plans are for the annual upgrade options is what they call it. You can upgrade your phone every 30 days if it's 50% or more paid off or you can upgrade every year and trade in your current phone and they start over. It's a good deal, but yes technically you'd be better off selling your phone and just using that money to buy it outright. But for me, even $325 is the most I've ever gotten for any of my iPhones.

To participate, you need to:
Purchase and activate an eligible iPhone on a Verizon Wireless device payment agreement.
iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus
iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus purchased on a device payment agreement on or before 9/8/2016
Use the eligible iPhone with Verizon Wireless service for at least 30 days
Pay at least 50% of the device's retail price
Return the eligible iPhone in good working condition with no significant damage, as determined by Verizon Wireless, within 14 days after you upgrade
Satisfy the Annual Upgrade Program terms and conditions

Exactly. This is a GREAT deal if you know with some degree of certainty that you won't be interested in upgrading next year. Especially in your case. That 6 of yours "might" have netted you $200 and Verizon is giving you $650. That's winning!
