I have. And the reason why I asked them because my phone had some minor knicks at the bottom where the speakers were so I was curious if there was a chance to get it requoted and they told me if it did they will let me know and if somehow I wasn't happy with it they wouldn't mind sending it back to me.

You obviously haven't read the terms. I'm sure you will be fine with a couple of nicks but you are spreading disinformation when you say they will return the device if it appraises less than the promo amount. From the trade in site:

  1. Will I still get promotional value if my trade in device isn't in good working and cosmetic condition?
No. In order to be eligible for this promotion, the trade in device must be in good working and cosmetic condition, as determined by Verizon Wireless. Each returned device must:
    • Be able to power on and off
    • Have a working battery
    • Have an intact, functioning LCD screen and glass with no cracks or breaks
    • Have intact charging ports and aux/headphone jacks (not broken or missing)
    • Connecting ports must be free of visible corrosion and water damage
    • All password-protected security features are turned off (ex. Find My iPhone / Activation Lock).
If you're returning an Apple device with iOS 7 or newer, you must turn off Find My iPhone prior to sending it back.

If your trade in device does not meet these requirements then you are not entitled to the device promotional bill credits and will instead receive the current market value of the trade in device minus any prior device promotional bill credits as a one-time credit.

Interesting. So according to that they will just pay current market value. Also doesn't state anywhere in the terms if you can request the device to be returned.

Does anybody else find it concerning that Verizon has a 14-day return policy but they don't appraise your device within those 14-days? So regardless of what the appraised value is, you're pretty much stuck accepting this value.

I think that's why they give you 30 days to return the device. I also make sure to trade it in to the store.

Just dropped off two iPhone 5 and an iPhone 5s at the Verizon store and got my printup showing $400 credit for each(split up over 24 months).

I'll do the same for my 6+ and my wife's 6s when the two 7+ show up.

Just posting about my experience.

Just received the emails stating that we will be receiving the full $650 promo for all 4 of our phones traded in. Two of the phones had replacement screens, 1 done at an Apple store, 1 done at a 3rd party store. The screen replaced at the 3rd store was starting to come away from the phone. The glue they used must not have held up. Seems they are somewhat lenient. All the phones were fully functioning and in good condition (aside from the "minor" screen issue).

That's good to hear. How long did it take Verizon once they received the phones until you got the emails regarding the credit?

They received the phones 2-3 weeks ago, according to USPS tracking. However, Verizon did not update their website reflecting that they received them until last Monday. However, I did not receive emails from Verizon confirming receipt until this morning. They sent me four emails this morning stating that they received the four phones. They then sent me four emails about 30-45 minutes later confirming the $650 value.

Gotcha. I submitted mine on 9/19, USPS lost the empty return boxes. I had to have Verizon resend them which I did receive. According to USPS tracking they delivered the devices to Verizon on 10/4, but Verizon's website hasn't updated for me at all and still shows "Recycling box mailed". So I'm getting a little concerned when people say that it only took them 2 weeks as tomorrow will be 3 weeks for me. It would be fine if Verizon actually updated their status website to state they actually received them but nothing at all has me worried.

I have my USPS receipt in front of me. I mailed all four phones out on 10/4. If i remember correctly, I believe USPS tracking showed Verizon receiving them on 10/6 or 10/7. So, sounds like our time frame is similar. I would expect you'll receive something this week. Just a guess.

Just got emails from Verizon that they received my two trade-ins and they are processing them. It took exactly 2 weeks from the time USPS said they were delivered to Verizon. Eagerly awaiting the emails confirming the value.

Now all we have to do is wait for the credits to show up on the bill. I went from having no equipment payments to 3 so I'll enjoy my cell bill going down :)

Yep. About to have my 2nd payment here in November. So for December I should be getting the credit.

I was able to cancel my order, buy the phone from Apple (Choosing the Verizon Installment Payment Plan, I think that is the key, it has to be an installment plan), called Verizon and the lady filled out the form, I am in the process of moving everything over to the 7+ and I will box up the 6 and send it out tomorrow. Hopefully there are not any hiccups with this plan, we will see.

Update, I was concerned I wouldn't get the bonus 2.0 GB of data but I logged in this morning and was pleasantly surprised to see it on the account! Which helps because my better half has been using crazy amounts of data for work, thankfully it will start to be expensed.

No update yet on my trade, it went out Saturday, they still do not have it marked as received.

Who was the 2GB of bonus data available to? What was/is this promo?

Verizon received my 6 on Thursday and I woke up to an email this morning saying my trade-in has been process and approved! :) Operation Get A 7+ For $9 A Month is a success! Good luck to everyone who's still waiting to hear.

With the 8GB and higher plans you receive what Verizon is referring to a "bonus" 2GB per line that is added. Since I'm adding 7 lines, it gives me a total of 26GB of data on the 12GB plan, which is nice. Maybe they're talking about something else though.

It was part of the promo for upgrading online I believe, I canceled that order so I didn't think I was going to get it. I had talked to Verizon about some other stuff inbetween and the rep said the 2GB bonus would kick in when I received my phone (on or about 11/09). Not sure when it kicked in but I upgraded at the Apple Store Friday.

Somewhat off topic, but has anybody had success getting the activation fee waived? They didn't charge me the fee for the iPhone 7 I preordered, but they charged it for the 3 other lines I added. I tried this morning over online chat, but no luck.

Activation fee or upgrade fee? They're different things. Typically an activation fee is easier to get waived.

However, I've had much more luck (after reminding them of how valuable and loyal a customer I am) by asking if they could offset the cost with a bill credit. This is much easier for the average CSR to do than waiving a mandatory fee.

activation fee. I'm a new customer to Verizon. Switch from AT&T. I'll try again, this time asking for a bill credit. I was able to get the upgrade fee waived from AT&T everytime every 2 years after upgrading my iphone

So you bought an iPhone on Verizon financed DPP through an Apple store and got the 2GB of bonus data for life?

How did you do the trade in?

The trade it (at least the $650 promotion at the time) can always be done after you purchase the phone on Verizon DDP via either USPS mail in or trade in to the store. This was stated by many of the users on the forum.

I did one of my iPhone 6 trade in at the Store and two USPS mail in.
