But that is not true. Verizon has no better coverage than AT&T in my experience. And actually AT&T has MORE coverage than Verizon in Rural areas. I go on cruises with car groups all the time, and we drive through the hill country or into the valley of Texas. While my AT&T phone works fine, Sprint, Verizon did not. I have traveled to many areas of the USA and have seen this as well.

+1

I guess he failed to realize that since he doesn't get out much... :(

Sad.

It depends on location and where you frequent!

VZW does have the most coverage but why are you concerned if you live in Philly and frequent the Philly metro area about coverage in San Franciso?

No question that VZW has most coverage but I don't know why VZW customers push that. There are a ton of areas that AT&T has equal coverage or if not better.

I live in Philly metro and spend all my time in metro so I'm concerned about coverage where I spend time. In this area AT&T and VZW are pretty much equal.

Just because AT&T sucks in your region doesn't mean it sucks in my region because AT&T is far from sucks.

It's true we don't hear as much that VZW sucks in an area because well they have the most coverage without question.

Why is it so many republicans feel the need to include politics in every thread, no matter how little it has to do with the subject? There would be no "cell phones" without the GOP? Get real. And please, I am breaking my own rule by this reply, but it's worth it: enough with the politics being brought up in everything, save the ranting for the fox news comments section and Rush's show, ok?

Back to the ACTUAL topic, I had Verizon where I live and hated it. I hated the antiquated CDMA aspect of it all, I hated the phones, etc. This was back when AT&T had gotten the 3gs. Finally about 6 months after the 3gs came out, I gave up on Verizon and got a 3gs (and now have an I4), and never looked back. I know if i lived other places it would be different, I believe all those people out there complaining about AT&T, but I have traveled to New York City and San Francisco and was able to use my phone ok (except in times square, no data, but understandable). Now that I know that you cant use data and phone calls at the same time on Verizon, that you cant go back and forth between calls easily or hang up on one call while another is on hold without hanging up both, I am even more glad Im with AT&T:

However, I will say, if I didnt have grandfathered in unlimited data plan on AT&T, I would be feeling a lot less happy right now

Verizon DOES NOT have more coverage. When will people drop that crap. AT&T network is BIGGER than Verizons. The part of Verizon that is bigger is the 3G network. If you look at AT&T Edge and 3G, it blows Verizon out of the water. I rather have a signal on Edge than not have one at all on Verizon.

The area I work , live and play in, has a really huge coverage area with fast 3G from AT&T. No matter what brand of phone I've had, the call quality is excellent and dropped calls are nonexistent. Plus the few times I've called into customer service they have been excellent. The company I work for also uses AT&T and has for years. We are migrating from BlackBerrys to iPhones at the present time.
