Well they won't be getting my business when I get the new iPhone. They went from an unlimited plan for $29.99 to the minimum smartphone data plan that is 2GB for $30.00.

What really pisses me off is it says the 2GB plan is not eligible for discounts.

There's been like 3 weeks of warning for this. AT&T do a tiered data plan too, except there's is $5 cheaper. Every company does this. It's corporate greed.

You can't have everything. T-mobile is getting swallowed by AT&T and unlimited data will be gone. Sprint will follow this trend in few years.

Get used to it.

I get a 20% corporate discount on my AT&T plan as well, which sounds like it's not possible on Verizon.

That sucks!!! Glad I got in on unlimited before the lockdown. I'm getting a 20% discount on the voice and data too!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/9A5248d Safari/6533.18.5)

Lol I can't believe I am even seeing this thread

anyone have any success in getting an unlimted plan today? My friend is attempting to because he thought today was the last day to get it. doh :O

This is just plain wrong. I feel for you, neighbor.

Is this a common theme throughout all the Provinces?

Recently a local carrier in Quebec offered a 6Gb plan for $30 so the Big3 did as well, but only in Quebec. I'm pretty sure the other provinces are stuck with crappy plans (I'm in Ontario with this one).

Hopefully the 6Gb for $30 option is available again nationwide when the next iphone comes out so I can upgrade to that.

Teachers get 19% not 20. But I believe all discounts are now gone, have you checked your account lately?
There's no way they're going to eliminate employee discounts. They're contracts between Verizon and your respective employers. My mother gets 22% with the hospital she works at.
