Verizon sucks now.

I believe I still have unlimited, I never changed from my original plan from my first iPhone (3G) and I just signed up for a 20 percent discount because I work at HEB. Yay!

For those who get Verizon discounts, do you get discounts on text messaging and data, or just the core minutes plan? My employer's Verizon portal doesn't give you the option to select data or messaging, even though it does let you select the iPhone.

Regarding Verizon:

The call waiting feature is terrible as well...if you are on a call and somebody else calls in, you are not able end your current call and answer the incoming call...the only thing you can do is answer the incoming call and leave the call you were on, on hold.

Good point. I've experienced the exact same thing with Verizon. It's a mess.

There's been like 3 weeks of warning for this. AT&T do a tiered data plan too, except there's is $5 cheaper. Every company does this. It's corporate greed.

I get a 20% corporate discount on my AT&T plan as well, which sounds like it's not possible on Verizon.

I get 23% discount on phone and data through AT&T so my 2GB data plan is only $19.25.

Not every company. Sprint still offers unlimited for $30. Also it's a little hyperbolic to shout corporate greed just because you don't like the pricing.

I get 21 with my old Best Buy Fan but its on At&t. That was about 5 yrs ago I put that on, when I got another job I never changed it...

Corporate customers usually have better credit ratings and therefore it's easier to negotiate a better rate.

Fair enough. I don't agree with that at all but I can see why they would do that from a business standpoint.
