Just got my tracking number -- it's coming UPS this year, all previous years have been Fedex.
Fine by me. Last year, a FedEx employee in their shipment chain helped themselves to my phone. They literally delivered an empty cardboard box that was torn open on one end where the guilty party reached in and pulled out the iPhone box.

Wow, that sucks. On delivery day I'm watching for them (UPS, FedEx, etc.) like a hawk. When I see the truck go up the street, I am outside waiting, I open the box (not the iPhone box) right in front of them, just in case. Thankfully never had an issue.

Yeah, he was almost in the truck when I picked the box up and realized it was empty, but I hesitated thinking it may have been the box to ship my old phone back in. About 20 seconds after he left I realized what had happened.
 
Order on verizon website friday morning. Destination is North Jersey. My iphone is already in Elizabeth NJ at some fedex hub. ETA on delivery is Friday before 3PM.

Anyway to get the phone sooner? maybe pick up early morning?

Verizon/Fedex require a delivery attempt before you are able to set as hold for pickup - I've tried for years and it's always been this way -- with some coming UPS this year, it MAY be possible, but they recently moved our main hub to a rather congested area, so it's more of a pain to have mine held, rather than wait for delivery.

Hearing ppl with tracking numbers already is starting to get me nervous. 11 Pro Max 256GB in Space Gray, ordered via app @ 8:00am.
 
Due to shenanigans with my bank and Verizon, I now have an Oct 9 ship date :mad: Wondering if anyone's had luck walking into a store on launch day?
Yes I did last year and I had the same issue as you I called them this morning at 7am but luckily i still have the same ship date. and i have confirmed on 3 different occasions just to make sure

My 11 says shipped, and the 11 pro max still says processing too, 256gb green, I didn’t get charged for the last payment on my old Xs max yet either.

Kinda glad to see I'm not alone. the rep said something about a back order, but I mentioned that I ordered right when the preorders opened. Might just be something about the configuration? Who knows?

I have 2 orders for 2 phones and they both just switched to Shipped. My purple 11 128gb shipped Fedex, but husband's black 11 128gb shipped UPS. Lucky for me Fedex always delivers before noon, but UPS is usually around 4pm.

Mine is too... 512 Midnight Green 11 Pro Max.

11 Pro Max 256GB Space Gray... ordered right at launch through the app and am still in processing. Delivery date says 9/20 though so I am not overly concerned.... yet.
