Carrier Verizon Wireless 2019 iPhone Pre-Order Thread

Verizon just screwed me out of $550 on trade-ins so I'll be returning 4 phones. They gave $300x2 for iPhone 6's. I entered IMEI and all that, and they said "carrier" so I entered AT&T since that's where I was porting from.

They are A1549's so they are claiming they were expecting the gimped GSM versions b/c I selected AT&T. They received the full featured versions b/c these are the unlocked CDMA versions. IE they received a better version than they were expecting so they are knocking $600 down to $50 and are not returning my devices to me.

My run as a Verizon customer lasted less than 2 weeks.
 
Has anyone heard back on trade in?i sent mine back friday 9/20 and nothing yet.

Edit i see now brent that sucks,i sent in a 7 and the ime was matching to a different color so i will probably be screwed too
 
I always - trade in at the local store days after I get my new device so I can avoid issues like lost devices, device agreed trade in value, etc

Sure it’s another step but it also allows me to say no thank you if something goes left.

Thank you! I was going to send my old device in tomorrow. Now I’m going to Verizon today instead. Verizon is already trying to charge me for the balance of the XS Max since I haven’t sent it back yet.

Got my acknowledgement email on Friday that they received my device and amount remaining will be credited on my next bill. Did launch preorder and got new phone on September 20.

It's stupid because they offer promos to get new customers, then setup a minefield to screw them immediately. I don't get it.

I'll be glad to lose money to get away from them now and I'm within 14 days. And why would I ever try them again?
 
Ordered a Gold 256 gig 11 pro max yesterday (Saturday). Order shipped today, expected on Tuesday 10/1. That was quick. First time I’ve waited a few days before upgrading
 
Does anyone know if you can still get the phone through Apple if you are doing the 50% payoff through Verizon to upgrade to the new phone or do I have to do the trade through Verizon only? Trying to get the phone sooner rather than later.

I think you can as long as you are at 50% already but not if you need to make an additional payment to get to there.

You can test the system / go to Apple and place a mock order upgrade like you want it shipped and before you agree to terms and checkout see if gets to the checkout page or if you receive errors on the line you are trying to upgrade

I ordered MG 11 pro max 256 gb on the 25th.. said expected to ship out on 10/2... got nothing still :-( no movement just processing.. my card hasn't been charged yet.

I’m in the same boat Apple told me they don’t handle carrier trade ins.
 
I was so excited. I thought I was getting my new phone today. UPS sent me a notice yesterday saying delivery today as next day air saver but watching my phone all day today nothing changed and even on Verizon website it still said processing. Then I got this dreaded email from them today saying that it will not be delivered as previously scheduled and that they will send me an updated delivery information as soon as they can. I'm so disappointed.

Today was the date Verizon gave for delivery then UPS sends me notice saying it would be delivered today. Don't understand what's going on.
 
Verizon's trade-in group allegedly has fixed trade value for my devices, though I have yet to see the receipts.
 
Anyone else seeing any early ship dates? Ordered this past Friday and have an expected ship date of 10/25.
 
I will never ship a trade in to Verizon again. They screwed me over a few years ago. They said they never received my trade in although the tracking said it was delivered. It took me a month of fighting with them before they credited my account for the balance owed on the "missing" phone. Now, if I want to upgrade early I just pay off the phone and sell it myself.

I sent my phone back 9-20-19 and they received it a couple days later.still no email or text saying my trade in was approved im getting worried

Verizon answered my question for me. I received an email this morning with tracking information, scheduled to arrive on Friday. A week from order to receipt isn’t that bad honestly.

I have same issue, phone was already in anderson CA then next day I tracked it and it shows shipped to Texas. What do I do?
 
I ordered the phone with Verizon, then they ship with UPS, it was in Anderson CA on its way to Redding DA but then 2 days ago it updated to ship to Texas, I called Verizon but they told me they didn't update the address, that UPS Updated the address themselves , please what do I do so I don't lose $5000 worth of phone to another address
