Good to see that they finally are, but a big part of the reason T-Mobile had it much earlier is because their cellular coverage was quite lacking in many places/instances.Good for them, adding a feature to their network that T-Mobile has had since the iPhone 5s.
If memory serves, EE originally announced it'd be for iPhone ... then after much delay they heavily advertised it'd be launched with the Galaxy S6
iPhone users were able to take advantage of it finally being available on EE.
Yep. It's all about money. For Verizon, for Samsung, for APPLE. Out of those three, which one has the MOST money? It's the reason we still have 16GB base iPhones.
FYI, VZW has been pushing bug fixes to the S6 since this summer - "next week" comes about the time for the 5.1.2 update, so those users will likely be our test mules. VZW likely rather piss off several thousand S6 users than several million iPhone subs...I'm not sure why Verizon is treating iPhone users like second class citizens over Android...
Sorry but I live in San Diego county and have not had that problem on Verizon. When we had a total black out little over a year ago the only person who had cell reception where my ex works was her no other phone there worked she was the only one with Verizon!Blatant generalization. In the West Coast, where AT&T purchased the old McCaw analog cellular networks they are just as good as Verizon. In fact, Verizon keeps getting overloaded in the cities.
I can name one large rural stretch of California where AT&T secured an exclusive lease on towers on a military base and for at least a decade, AT&T was the only carrier with service period.
Another example: At a major California university, AT&T and Verizon secured leases on the campus clock tower, and they were the only carriers available in the dorms (big concrete buildings). Again, this happened back in the analog days. The other carriers literally got stuck on a light pole.
Such evil companies that provide services most of us couldn't really do without these days. What does making the most money have to do with anything? Carriers are some of the most evil companies out there, next to ISPs and credit card companies. It doesn't matter how much money Apple makes.

So, let's see. You are saying that because T-Mobile had it first, no one else should have it because someone else had it first? You're really condemning Verizon for now having it just because they were late to the party. How strange that thinking is. I can't even begin to understand your statement or logic.
Oh my. Evil!! How terrible. So, don't use a cell, don't have an internet provider, and don't have a credit card. That way you can eliminate that terrible evil from your life. If you continue to use these products/services that you admit are evil, then you are participating in the evil and are being quite hypocritical. Please let us know when you terminate these services/products. Oh wait. You won't have internet service so you can no longer participate. Yes. Let's stamp out evil. I'm with you all the way!!
Exaggerate much? Evil in what way? Because they'd rather keep money you pay them then re-invest it in their infrastructure!? They're a business, making the most money is the point of their existence. Just like Apple. As much as everyone would like to think these corporations have a 'conscious' they don't. Apple could do so much to help alleviate the child labor issues and minuscule wages that the people that manufacture their phones have, but they don't. Even with $100+ billion sitting in the bank. No one has issues with that, but Verizon and Samsung limit wifi calling abilities for profit/advertising and they're called 'evil'!? Some peoples blind allegiances make me sick (to a corporation nonetheless).
So is there anyone that isn't evil then? The most evil companies provide services you can't live without.

Are you a hypocrite if you buy a $500 pill that you can't live without from a pharmaceutical company?
2 year contracts, slow internet speeds, and abolishing net neutrality. ISPs (and other evil companies) can do this because you don't have a choice.
Read above.
You don't think Samsung has bad working conditions? Their employees got cancer from being exposed to hazardous materials.
I'm saying ISPs are some of the most evil. Very odd to see anyone defend them.So is there anyone that isn't evil then?
Subjectivity comes to mind.I'm saying ISPs are some of the most evil. Very odd to see anyone defend them.
If you have an iphone 6, 6+ or 6s or 6s+, you can use Verizon wifi right now. Download the Verizon Message + app from the app store and use that app to make calls over wifi. I live in a poor signal area and usually use a network extender from Verizon. When it went down, I used the app and it works fine. It doesn't have a Favorites caegory, but you can call anyone in your contacts list or dial a number.
I'm not sure why Verizon is treating iPhone users like second class citizens over Android when time and time again research (and even internal reports from Google given during court proceedings) have shown that iOS users are far more lucrative customers. This feature would be quite welcomed in the new building I work in. I'll not often miss phone calls, but during those calls they sometimes cut out a lot.
I'm looking forward to seeing what T-Mobile offers Verizon users to switch. I can deal with a little bit of reduced coverage in areas I never go, which effectively cuts my bill in half. And from what I can see, 700MHz benefits 6s users like me quite a bit. Between that and WiFi calling I'm good to go (although my wife doesn't have a 6s so we're holding out hope for the 4" 6c with a new LTE chip). We originally moved to Verizon from AT&T because my wife had to travel a lot for work but now she works at home.
With a whole lot of sarcasm on top of it.I'm not sure what the issue is? Just get an S6 Edge. You'll have Wifi calling and a way better phone.
It's almost as if Verizon is a business and has to answer to the stock holders. That's exactly what Samsung did. And that's why it took so long for them to announce it after they got the waiver. They were trying to sell early access to the highest bidder. It has nothing to do with testing it out on a few devices at a time. It's about money. It's always about money.

Could Verizon be any slower? I live in a rural area where cell service is sketchy so I maintain a LAN line. I'd like to cancel that LAN line! It doesn't help that Verizon is the most expensive carrier of the bunch.
