Man, Steve is so skinny, he doesn't look healthy and robust.

The shareholders should see to it that he eats a couple steaks, french fries, and buttermilk biscuits every day for a month or two.

I am pretty sure that Steve is a vegetarian. :) So no steaks for him.

For what it's worth.

The videos ran flawless and smooth for me on Safari.
These boards are not very friendly on phones and pads.

As for Jobs. The western diet will definitely overwork your liver and I'm sure he has changed his ways after what happen. He may have turned to cleaner raw foods now but I'll bet he's healthy now then ever. I think he looks fine, many of us are used to seeing fat americans and we forgot how we are supposed to look?

Ironic that we're watching this on a Flash based video player?
Further irony that Jobs is citing Apple's relative lack of resources for ditching Flash support right after responding to a question about AAPL ascending to the second highest market cap in the USA, above MSFT?
Something tells me Apple's R&D budget and pile of cash would allow them to support Flash on the iPad, etc. if they so chose.

Let Flash die a death, but fess up to why.

and you would have sold one every two seconds if it had flash and one every second if it also had a camera

Really, Troll? Shouldn't you be hiding under that rock over there? ---->

ANYWAY....

I want to see the video, in it's entirety, without the BS editing.

I really try to look at this whole thing from a non-fanboy perspective, since I am one, but I have to admit, he's so dead-on with a lot of bullet points he made on each of those clips.

His explanation of why AppleTV is a hobby, his explanation on Flash, his perspective on the Gizmodo incident, his vision of the post-PC era, etc.

I still can't figure out why the iPad didn't come with a camera, or what the heck HyperCard was, but at least I understand him.

Looking forward to what he's got to say and show us next Monday. Hopefully, it'll be a world iPhone, and I hope they have some good technology to go with that front facing camera.

Check out http://www.goodervideo.com/products/MP.html that could resolve jerky video.

the interesting thing is everyone criticises about flash but remember Apple don't make it, as Steve said, if Adobe can produce a version that works well then they will talk, Adobe have barley got ANY version of flash working on any mobile platform, from what Steve said i get the impression that Apple are not going to throw money at it to get it working for Adobe to benefit, if they can do it them selves then they may allow it.

as for the rest the Iads got me laughing, Steve really ripped into that guy:D

He is very good at what he does.. that's for sure. Helps that he is a great speaker too. He is able to express himself very well indeed.

Does anyone know what type of chairs they are sitting on? They look very comfortable.

The Perils of Sympathetic Press

There've been lots of postings complaining about the grumpy, slightly antagonistic interviewers.

As someone who's been interviewed a lot (not boasting, just true), I can tell you that the nastiest interviewers are the ones who most like what you do. They're so conditioned to never come off as fawning that they overcompensate in resisting their impulse to gush, and it swings the other way. It's VERY tough to find a middle point.

Swisher and Mossberg are both fans. But if they were all smiles and compliments and respectful smoothiness, there would be no end of the ridicule. So they tried to act tough and hard-bitten.

If you ever get press, just pray the reporter doesn't love what you do.

You personify that little nagging feeling I have when I tell people I use a Mac. You know, like they must assume I'm an obnoxious ****. But I'm trying to sort myself out.

That's an interesting point there. But as I said a few posts before, I don't think that Mossberg acts this way only because he is a fan (oh, I am sure he is). I believe that he just doesn't want to offend Sir Jobs because of the risk that this interview could have been the last one. This is often a problem when journalists have to interview "desired partners". They need to ask inoffensive questions.
I provide you an example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7L2ukSJFgCM

This girl will never get an interview from him again, even if her questions seemed justified.

You may be right, but they already have a pretty hard time making them fast enough to keep any in stock. Don't worry though, camera will give a few of us a nice incentive to upgrade to the 2nd gen iPad.... ;)

Could you silly smokers please stop talking about how skinny Jobs is ? That guy is the reason why you stupid ****s are here talking about his products in the first place.

Not to add fuel to the fire regarding Jobs health, but I couldn't help but notice how weak and crackly his voice sounded ... absolutely no strength or depth to his voice whatsoever. :(

Videos working fine on Linux in Chrome on a 20Mb connection. All those complaining about Flash need to upgrade their G4s because this laptop I am on is far from high spec.

His point about selling lots of iPads despite the lack of Flash is irrelevant. Most people who are buying it probably don't understand one way or another if the iPad supports Flash. I'm sure he is aware of that and is using their ignorance to diminish Flash's userbase.

Believe it or not, that's the first time I've ever heard his voice. He doesn't sound anything like I expected. It's hard to reconcile that voice with that face. But he does make sound points and he seems genuinely enthusiastic.

Has anyone heard when we'll get to see the entire interview?

How did they handle this in the previous years?

That is what I am wondering! :( I want the entire interview. I am pretty sure in years past they have posted the whole thing. GET ON IT D!!!

This lady is so incredibly awkward and annoying. It looks like Steve wants to punch her in the throat every time she opens her mouth.

TOTALLY agree! I like Walt but that chic has to go!

Ya perfect solution for health and nutrition!

You're right. He looks and sounds like my 80 yo grandfather. Steve Jobs is only 55! :(

He sounds to me just like he did at Apple in pre-Mac days.

A few comments on Jobs last night.

While he was saying that Apple doesn't use or add technology that is on a "downswing," Walt should have asked why the "new" Macs use USB 2.0. We all know USB 2.0 is on the "downswing."

Another thing is the arrogance that Jobs thinks someone should make a "movie" out of the "stolen out of a bag" iPhone. His employee was drinking beer at a bar and now there's a "debate" as to whether it was actually "stolen?" Say what?

Apple doesn't work in "committees" they break into "teams."

SJ's assessment on AT&T doing "pretty good actually" is nothing but the common Jobs ignoring the truth when he cannot hold AT&T accountable and publicly bash them because they signed a long-term contract keeping the iPhone locked into AT&T in the US. I certainly believe if Apple could do it, it would already be on Verizon. The contract with AT&T was a gigantic mistake, and I certainly think he should admit it.

The new news on AT&T changing iPad terms seems like it was always planned that way. AT&T promised the first million 3G iPad customers "true" unlimited and then pulled a fast one... Jobs should certainly comment on why this is acceptable behavior from his sole carrier's US policies for bait and switch scheme. It is certainly disappointing.

Last thing... do we all really believe it was SJ that said "we can make a phone with this thing" when he was talking about the original tablet project? Is it always SJ that has the great idea? It seems that in D3 Walt and the other interviewer were asking SJ why he doesn't have an iPhone/iPod. Did maybe EVERYONE else tell SJ this before he came up with his epiphany?

Just curious what everyone else thinks about these topics?
