Oh, the irony that it won't run on my iPhone, either!

It's extremely choppy and annoying on Tiger too. I wish someone would invent a container that downloaded the video in the background and would let you play, pause and smoothly go forward and back as needed to get the point.

It's to bad that technology eludes us in 2010 and with "All things D".

I'm also wondering about this.. I'd much rather watch the entire interview than these clips. Anyone know something about this?

I to want to know this, I'd also like to see the whole thing. I know you can watch the whole one from 2007 when he and Bill Gates were on stage.

This is a Mac focused site, at least post the videos in an ipad friendly site...

Allthingsd.com now works on the iPad .... But i guess embedding and sharing is flash only?

That's correct...their embedding is Flash, so we're that's what we have to use. But click through to their site and the videos are viewable in iPad/iPhone-friendly formats.

Interesting comments he made about iAds. There was talk (or concern) that apple was going to force developers to only use iAds. Looks like that rumor was unfounded.

:D

The iAd video is the best. You see some of that Steve Jobs fury that most employees have encountered.

The last year's AllThingsD conference videos are on iTunes, and full streams usually are posted. I hope it is posted by the end of the day today, as I don't want to watch small clips.

Nothing about desktop computers last night. If Jobs doesn't say anything about desktops at WWDC then its PC shopping for me!

Uhg. People are so crazy about this FLASH™ bs. Why don't people get it yet? Flash is a clumsy drag, but it works for the chunk-tech you can lug around. The future will always be about better product and at this time it is about streamlining and reducing, which is prudent and wonderful.

Most of the computer industry is set in a sick rut where it can't trim well, rather only add or complicate. What Jobs is asking for and is corralling the industry toward will be great for everyone... in 2 or 3 years. At the moment it hurts Adobe and dinosaurs clinging to the chunk-tech.

Steve's awesome in this interview. His whole attitude is on fire and focused.

I found it funny that he talked about wanting to get in on products people want and have a future, but if he was truly keen he would have had the iPad out in 2008. Obviously he didn't miss the boat, but he could have gotten the drop on a lot of PC fools and left the rest far back in the dust.

Man, Steve is so skinny, he doesn't look healthy and robust.

The shareholders should see to it that he eats a couple steaks, french fries, and buttermilk biscuits every day for a month or two.

Just because he doesn't look "normal" (read chubby, overweight, FAT) doesn't mean he's sick. He's thin, and I think he looks better now than before his liver transplant.

The important thing is that he's back on post and working and punching with a great attitude and apparently good energy. That's what he needs. That's what Apple needs. That's what we need.

He knows the value of enthusiastically going to work every day. That's the same Steve that gave that rousing Stanford commencement speech five years ago. That has been, is, and will be his saving grace.

And besides, he's a vegan or vegetarian or something, so get off his back with your home remedies and screwy opinions.

that woman looked like the grumpiest female on earth and what bad interviewing skills she couldn't even get a question in haha. Obviously a pc user and a dumb one at that. She probably has never even used a mac and didn't know what to ask. The guy was only slightly better than her it was like the interviewers had nothing to fight apple on lol. Steve ftw he is the crowd stirrer and the revolution in technology.
"The guy" is Walt Mossberg. He used and wrote about computers before they even existed ;) . He knows his stuff very well.
Oh and I must agree however, that Walt rarely ever "fights apple". The reason is simple: He want's to keep that privilege to be able to interview Steve Jobs every now and then. He surely doesn't want to piss him off (and we know how fast this happens).
This surely is a problem when it comes to a review of any Apple product (which are often sent to Walt before they are sold. Another privilege he wants to keep).

i think iTunes will provide the podcast, like they did for the D5

But why every people here said the clip are on flash video????

Those clip work fine on the iPad and the iPhone, I just try serious, what's the problem?:(

Interesting and candid comments from Jobs about computer usage.
Reinforces my belief that AppleT&T will be more or less out of
the computer business in a couple of years.

The Mini and and the Mac Pro will get fewer and fewer updates and see their market share go over a cliff. The iMac and MacBooks will hang in there at their usual mid single digit market share. But they too will eventually fade away and everything will be replaced by one or two models of iPads and iPad Pros hooked up to two different sizes of expensive and out of date ACDs.

I'm assuming that the Website can detect if you are using an iPad or iPhone and will automatically switch to a format they can understand. On my MacBook Pro, it's definitely a Flash player.

I believe Steve voiced his opinions intellectually, passionately, fairly, and did so in a surprisingly concise way.

This interview sold me on Apple, once again.

I would have to agree. The AT&T problems might of been a sticky subject but he handled himself quite well. It was good to hear him go over the Google/Flash debate again.

The music choice was interesting, The Beatles "Got To Get You Into My Life", Was it the presenters way of saying got to get an Apple product into my life?

And besides, he's a vegan or vegetarian or something, so get off his back with your home remedies and screwy opinions.

What's your problem. Just a light-hearted observation on the fact that Steve Jobs is abnormally skinny, which is plainly obvious.

This is unrelated to the fact that he's a great CEO whom I fully support as a shareholder!

So take a chill pill, and get better judgment on what to get mad at and what to laugh at while you're at it!

Steve is one of those people that just seem to speak a universal truth. Though how he managed to continue with that harridan glaring at him is beyond me.

Steve Jobs on why Apple hasn't removed Google Maps and Search from Apple products since they are now competing with Apple:

"Just because we're competing with somebody doesn't mean we have to be rude"

LOL

It's Not Just About Flash!

It's not just about Flash! Forget Flash! This whole Flash thing is a distraction. Yes, the iPhone/iPad/iPod won't play Flash. But it will also not play any other major video format, AVI, Divx, and so on ... It won't even play Apple's own .mov format!

It's all about getting people to buy stuff from Apple's store. The whole thing is engineered to make it very inconvenient to play video from other sources. It all has to be converted to .m4v format.

Yes, Flash sucks. It it one of the worse video formats out there. But it is a standard. Not supporting Flash is like not supporting jpeg or pdf, or any other major standard. Yes, Steve's points about Flash are valid, but this whole Flash issue masks the real problem. We want a media player that actually plays media! We don't want Flash support, we want support for every major codec/format around.

The iAd Restrictions video hits the sweat spot for me. I'm an not a fan of someone or a company doing such things without my knowledge. I want to know up front so I can make a decision.
