Even if it's real it doesn't look worthy of a $399 phone. Should be $199.

It is displaying the iOS 12 wallpaper, but I don’t see any evidence that truly proves which version of iOS the device is on.
This is true. Even though I'm certain this isn't real...
What made me discredit it first was the presence of the old Videos app on the home screen, which was phased out after iOS 10 in favor of a TV/TV app... But then I remembered, Apple TV is not a thing in China, and so the old Videos app may still be in use over there.

this is not Apple like so I call this fake. A lot of issues with this design so no, not happening :)

Analysing the video further this is definately a cheap fake as it doesn't have any of the design language from Apple. The way the glass blends to the frame etc. is so amateurish that no way this is real.
Its just cheap crap, nothing more.
Unless this was a bad sample but I seriously doubt that.

Don't call it "SE" unless it has the same form factor as the SE (with only the "guts" updated). This means same size, dedicated home button, and headphone jack. These features are what make the SE a "SE". If it is yet again just another phablet, drop the "SE" so people don't get suckered into buying a phone which does NOT have the classic SE form factor. The phablet crowd already have all the choices they need. But we "retro" fans only have the original aging SE. A true "SE2" would be MOST welcome!!

This kind of sentiment just isn't true as sad as it is. And I'm a really big fan of the original SE.
To Apple, the SE release model doesn't mean a 4 inch phone with headphone jack. It means a last-gen phone design with updated internals for a lower price. Applying that same mindset they used back then today, well, is exactly what the rumored iPhone 9/SE 2 is, whatever it's called.

Hmm flat glass too? This should be the new phone design in September. I want those flat sides back.

guys, can you please STOP obsessing about the bloody name? It doesn't matter what its called - it will just be another iPhone with certain specs. Bloody hell the issue people have with just a simple name is incredible

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. So stop with the "STOP" nonsense. "Bloody hell"...indeed.

Dude, The finger nails alone in this picture indicate it’s a fake..😁

Really though, it’s a bit early for these copycat dummy iPhone models to debut, but interesting nonetheless.

For one thing, the Videos app. It died with iOS 12.

this is a solid point but this guy’s got a good counter

It won't be the EXACT same design, as it is already confirmed that the device is going to be at least 0.5mm thicker than the iPhone 8.
Probably to add a bigger battery to compare better with the 11.
Really hoping the thickness increase won't throw off cases though.. I've been buying up some really cool iPhone 8 cases on clearance in preparation for this device (and before 8 cases shoot up in price again LOL)

I'm not discrediting an opinion, I'm talking about forum members talking months about 9 SE2 etc. where it makes no difference to how its called. People are so attached to the name that they forgot that it won't change the rumoured product so why not discussing that instead?
Is it really worth to endlessly talk about thing on the box rather than whats inside the box?

Was going to say this. That gives it the most credibility, lol. But something about the animation seems off, but it has been several years since I had a Touch ID iPhone.

Currently still using a 6s. The unlock animation looks fine, but this is probably a fake anyways. If you look at the reminders icon it's clearly running a version of iOS 12.

It's not. Anybody who owns an iPhone 11 can tell immediately.

And it wouldn't have the "iPhone" text on the back.

This is a nice looking fake though. But it clearly uses pre-iPhone 11 design language.
Look I’m not trying to say that is real at all, I’m just saying the Apple logo is positioned exactly like that on the back of my iPhone 7 and it also does say “iPhone” in the same place. Neither look off center in the photo to me. Just because it doesn’t match the iPhone 11 doesn’t mean ****. It’s supposed to be based on the 8 anyway.

Wasn't SE just another version of 5s?
