Look I’m not trying to say that is real at all, I’m just saying the Apple logo is positioned exactly like that on the back of my iPhone 7 and it also does say “iPhone” in the same place. Neither look off center in the photo to me. Just because it doesn’t match the iPhone 11 doesn’t mean ****. It’s supposed to be based on the 8 anyway.

also look up a photo of the back of an iPhone 11 Pro...

Apple wouldn't move backwards in design language.

The iPhone SE was based on the iPhone 5s, but doesn't have FCC iconography like the iPhone 5s did. As a result, the iPhone SE2 wouldn't have an off-centered Apple logo nor the "iPhone" text.

There's really no point in comparing your iPhone 7 from 2016 to this year's iPhone SE2.

Wasn't SE just another version of 5s?

Chassis/physical dimensions wise, yes. Obviously with some internal changes/hardware/Ram upgrades, it was different in minuscule aspects That wouldn’t be necessarily identifiable by the average consumer.

Sure but this is all your speculation not the rules out of the Apple design handbook

I think it would be so odd if they released an SE 2 in 2020 with the EXACT same design as the iPhone 8.
Why would you think that odd? It would mean reusing a proven design, for which they already have an extensive set of manufacturing jigs set up. Less to change means less to test, and reusing the production line with few changes means lower cost.

It's not that I want the "new SE" to be in an 8 chassis, but I can totally see why they'd do this. Heck, the SE was basically the guts of a 6s in the chassis of a 5s.

It is displaying the iOS 12 wallpaper, but I don’t see any evidence that truly proves which version of iOS the device is on.
iOS 12 has the iTunes Store on the home screen, whereas iOS 13 has the Podcasts app. If you update from iOS 12 you won't see a change, but if you do a clean install or you buy a new iPhone you will. The iPhone in the video has the iTunes Store, so it is either running iOS 12 or it has updated from iOS 12 to iOS 13 (or he deliberately changed the icons so that the iTunes Store would be on the first screen, but that's unlikely). So on that basis alone, you can already be sure it is fake.

If it is real it looks pretty good with the flattened edges. I was hoping for midnight green rather than the mint as a colour option though!

(Assuming this is fake) Presumably as it looks virtually identical to the iPhone 8? Would make taking the risk of leaking something less appealing possibly.
Just seeing how Apple removed iPhone from the back of the phone now. I am not sure why it would be put back on there. Think it is a fake but I do not mind the colour.

That sounds correct. But why would you neglect to have your purported leaked device on the right OS? I personally kind of hope that it is real, but you are right that evidence is pretty against that idea.

Yeah, I agree. Despite my earlier defense, that's also definitely the iOS 12 Reminders app.

Oh well, a boy can dream...

Apple logo not centered. "iPhone" branding on the back. Lastly, the most obvious is the frame, because the real deal is going to be an iPhone 8 frame without a doubt. FAKEEEEE.

Because inside the chassis is likely the guts from an iPhone 6, which is limited to iOS 12.

Look at how long the Music app takes to load (at least 3 seconds).

These videos are intended to show off custom chassis designs. The sellers in Shenzhen aren't risking the guts from an iPhone 11 to put into a test chassis.

I’m pretty certain it’s not a 6. The camera bump would be smaller, higher, and further right. There are tons of housings to make a 6 look like a 7 or 8 and they all look wonky since they can’t move the camera.

So it’s a 7 or 8, but still fake as **** LOL

Mint green (gags). I too am sick of the pastels Apple seems to be so fond of. The square edges would be great. iPhone in midnight blue would be awesome. I’m calling fake on this.

This looks really good even though it's fake. I'm excited for iPhone 12 now which is supposed to look like that. Much better design.

The picture look as it was taken with a digital camera from 2004, so my bet this is an iPhone 8 from someone who time traveled from a parallel time timeline, showed it in our 2004, Apple took the idea, discarded the color and builded the iPhone 8 looking similar with different colors.
