Apple Keynote Presentation Training 101:

-Speak about 25% slower than usual to give everything you say more gravitas than it deserves

-Short pause every four words, long pause at the end of every sentence.

-Use words like "new", "best", "advanced", "beyond", "precision", and other buzzwords liberally

-Emphasize any words related to numbers, product names, and the word "even" heavily

-Vary intonation gradually up and down like a rollercoaster and try build progressively higher rises and deeper dips

-When listing features say...

Feature 1
Feature 2
"(it) works great with..." feature 3
Feature 4
...
"and we were EVEN able to..." feature X

-Just when people are about crush their own face from palming too hard, pass it onto next presenter

- Repeat

I've been watching the Apple keynotes since I was 14 (I'm now 23) and this is the first one I've ever skipped through/turned off before it was done. I love Apple products & will probably be buying the new iPhone, BUT that isn't to say I don't see the difference since Steve passed. I know that nobody will ever be Steve, but between absolutely everything about the phone leaking weeks in advance & Tim Cook's completely odd way of presenting, I was colored very unexcited.

The phone is cool, but like others have said should have been released last year instead of the 4S. I haven't owned an iPod since I purchased the original iPhone so those announcements did nothing for me. The whole keynote set up just seems forced and almost a mockery of its former awesomeness and excitement. I also realized how much I use friend's charging accessories & not being able to do so IS a big decision factor for me. I love having the latest and greatest but carrying an overpriced adapter with me seems pretty stupid, as does having a dead phone and a house full of friends who own the old cables.

Apple is on top for now, but they better start pulling rabbits out of their hats again because companies like Microsoft are actually looking cooler and more wiling to try new stuff at the moment.

Video too quiet

Its a shame that apple make some fantastic audio software but still can't manage to publish videos of their conference with an acceptable volume level. Trying to watch on iPad and can hardly hear it, while doing jobs around the house

I bet Forstall will win the prize though.

Maybe. Idk if it really matters too much, as long as it's a product guy. Forstall and Phil are both very engrossed in making/marketing great products.

The only bad thing would be if a guy like Browett got put in charge. One way ticket to the mid-90s Apple right there.

Not sure if anyone has made this connection. I couldn't quite wrap my head around the idea of it being called the "iPhone 5". It's the 6th generation phone, it has iOS 6, and it has a new A6 chip. Lots of 6's involved.

However, the iPhone came out in 2007 and this year marks the iPhone's 5th birthday. I'm really hoping they called it the iPhone 5 because of something like that, and not just because the public has been calling it the iphone 5 since after iPhone 4 in 2010.

Yesterday Tim Cook presentation Barcelona store

Somebody knows which song is playing during the Barcelona store presentation ? :)

i wish phil schiller would not wear this strangely olive green shirt. it just doesnt match to the rest when all the design is so minimal - and grey with bright colors. this way, it looks like very much like a microsoft presentation :)

The podcast came into my AppleTV as HD instead of the SD I have it set for, not sure why? It stuttered on Play, so I downloaded it and had to wait until the next day to view. Must have been a heavy load on the servers.

Meanwhile Schiller, Forstall performed extremely well, but Cook looked a little wooden especially trying to interrupt the Foo Fighters at the end.
