Video of Verizon iphone on Youtube

i'm sure these guys are great at embarrassing their kids. this video cracked me up.

The man may or may not always carry a small penknive in his pocket. It is likely that he just grabbed it on the way out. Small utility knives are very useful for lots of mundane things--opening letters, boxes, cutting strings, etc. That blade was very small, maybe 2" long. The man is not "guttin' critters" or warding off would-be criminals with that thing.

Sure, the woman in the video is no cinematographer. Complaints about framing and focus are valid. But most of the rest of the crap I've read on this thread is elitist snobbery. The man has a Southern accent and carries a penknife--OMG! The iPhone 4 is not longer cool!! How can I ever show my vegan-skinny ass at the next cocktail party I attend if I am using such a low and common product, used by slow-witted white trash rednecks!

Ironically, in the efforts to pile on the poor video posters, many of the "Apple user" stereotypes have been validated by this ridiculous thread. Elitist, snarky, style-over-substance urbane snobs who wouldn't last ten minutes in the woods alone.

The woman on the video doesn't know how to properly work a camera. They are both a bit too enthusiastic about getting a Verison iPhone 4--it's not even really a "new" product! That stuff is all fair game. But the rest of the discussion here is just sad.

Congratulations for your phone. You'll find that the iPhone is worth every penny, but you probably know that.

Do not care about the odd people in this thread; they are not representative of any demographics worth talking bout.


I wonder what folks would say if it turns out that this gentelman has an advanced degree and is better positioned in life than most of us lead to believe?

I could care less about his pocket knife, they do come in quite handy at times. What I'm COMPLETELY DISGUSTED about is his wife's use of the camera/phone for shooting the video. I can deal with the shaky out of focus camera panning all around. Very few are pros, I know I'm not. BUT when you want to get that portrait style shot and you turn your camera sideways to frame in your subject YOUR VIDEO WILL COME OUT SIDEWAYS (yes dear I'm talking to you too, I still love you...).
 
You gotta admit, that was a horrible video.

People are just being honest online. It's the internet, if you can't take criticism then you're in the wrong place.
 
Jeez who gave that gal a camera. I think she pretty much messed up every single thing you could do wrong in such a short clip. I mean at the very bare minimum of a shaky, blurry video keep the god damn thing in one orientation.

On a related topic .. glad we finally got that whole Verizon topic sorted out now so that we can finally move on to more interesting things like the MBP refresh hopefully happening some time soon .. or new iPad, I'll take that too.

Being from over the big puddle i have to chuckle, yes this is how your seen over here but then we have our stereotypes tea and crumpets anyone.

The guy was more reserved than i was when i got my iphone the bag was off the box was ripped open and i carefully undressed the iphone 4 box took the lid off and breathed in the air of my new apple toy making sure my hands were clean i held the iphone 4 in my hand i couldn't wait to turn it on.

He doesn't strike me as being as ecstatic as i was, if i was the 1st person to get the Verizon iphone 4 then i would have made a lot more noise and jumped about a bit but then maybe its a southern thing :D

Unfortunately, it won't be over until everyone is using the same iPhone again. I would purpose that 500 CDMA iphone owners and 500 GSM iPhone owners meet in Antarctica and throw their phones at each other until one side gives up. Then and only then will matter be over.:D

I'm with you on moving to new discussions. Too many with clubs and shamboks beating each other up. To those responsible posters who have been trying to keep the peace, I salute you.

All we are saying is give peace a chance!

You could tell he was excited, but he was the nerdy type trying to act like it was no big deal and doesn't understand what the big deal is, takes out his 1" girl knife and cuts the box open like he's "the Man"... however when the camera stopped he was screaming like a little girl then his wife slapped the hell out of him and said SHUT UP! really can't stand people like this.

Just my 2 cents; maybe i'm just in a bad mood today, no more redskins...

Why is this exciting? It's the exact same thing, except for a few very slight changes.. Sure your internet experience might change, but the rest of it remains the same..
 
First verizon iPhone

Congrats on getting an iPhone! I love mine, despite people complaining about AT&T. I never have problems here in PA. Horrible video though. Why even shoot that part? The unboxing is what's important!
