Anyone have their CC charged today? I normally don't like wishing my life away but May 13 - 27 (or whenever it arrives) can't come soon enough.

The sport bands, especially that green one shown in this article, seem to be more flattering "in person" than in Apple's super-bright renders. It's a much nicer shade than the yellow-green I see on their site. I really hope they come out with a bunch of other colors—specifically red!

I wish I would have learned more about how my work's wellness incentive works before the pre-order night. Was on the fence until I learned I can earn a small pile of cash to help pay for it! Now I'm waiting until June for my SS 42mm Milanese. I really like what I'm seeing from app developers so far—even in this early stage—and am starting to realize the additional benefit of wearing one.

The response video I'm most looking forward to is me going "FINALLY" when my status changes from "Processing Items" to "Shipped."

Toronto/April 10/3:06am/42mmSS/BSB

+1! Ordered same exact model at the same exact time and still no change to status. It's as if Apple didn't anticipate anyone wanting the SS BSB model.

Much prefer the yellow-green. Will be disappointed if not like the renders.
Would also like a red version, myself.

So ifixit broke the watch in the teardown process. at least its doable to change the battery.

This was nice to see. If you want your watch to last longer than the battery, it can be done (the display would be the next thing to "watch" with regards to longevity).

iFixit nicked up the lip of the aluminum case in the process if you look closely, but I'm sure Apple has a way of doing it quickly and no damage...

Just flipped my 42mm sport black Apple watch on ebay for $999.00 :):D

Hello steak dinner.

I hope everyone enjoys their watches. If not, there's one heck of a re-seller market on ebay right now.

I was hoping to see one of the higher end watches - so far it looks like everyone bought the cheapest entry level sport watch.

The first thing I thought of when my SS Watch arrived at my door: "Geeze this is a heavy box! Did they send me a bunch of Watches??" ;) It turned out to be just the one I ordered, but the boxing materials, case, etc. are truly premium, causing the heavy weight. The device feels fantastic on my wrist; the white fluoroelastic band looks so clean and hip, but doesn't feel like plastic or rubber – it feels like what would happen if oxygen-free rubber and a supple Italian leather band got drunk at a party, and got dirty. It's a love child that is sure to create conversation. :D :apple:

But...we've been told here that the packaging looks cheap.

OK so the Apple Watch is finally here - great! I don't see this thing selling anywhere near as well as the iPhone or iPad but hey... ...what do I know?

All I will say is that if Apple are not already heading down the road developing a Magic Leap like visor device, then their days at the top of the tech tree are numbered.

If Magic Leap is even half as good as it seems to be, then every cell phone - tablet - portable computer (and smart watch) is dead in just a few years.

My 10 year old (iPod, iPad, iMac user) wants the Magic Leap as soon as it's released - he's not at all interested in the Apple Watch (or any other watch, smart or otherwise).

Time will tell... :)

To call this a launch is a joke. This has been a complete FUBAR, but the team at Apple. I really hope they can get their act together quickly and clean up the smelly stuff quick.

As for the teardown, I am always facinated watching them destroy a perfectly good product and how much it is totally pointless. I doubt I would ever take my Apple stuff to get it repaired anywhere other than apple. (just be careful to step around the mess on aisle 4 - the watch aisle).

exactly how are you qualifying this as a FUBAR?

seriously, how?

Its a generation 1 product in an entirely new categoy. Its idiotic to buy any other model. Its painfully obvious how much thinner and faster the next one will be. It a couple years this thing will look hilarious

The Watch Sport does appear to have different packaging than the Watch (SS) version. Nothing felt cheap during my unboxing. I was impressed – more than any other Apple product I've unboxed, and there've been many. :D

So many opinions, so little (if any) thought. You're all hyped, and then each takes a different direction, and have either swung high and are all fired up without being able to think clearly or rationally, or swung low with little to say except bitter, negative vitriol.

I'll wait a few weeks to months, for REAL valid opinions. You lot are as changeable as the wind.

So let me get this straight, just to make sure I'm clear:

People are mad that they're coming to macrumors.com on launch day of a brand new, first gen Apple product, seeing articles about that product, and getting mad?

What other Apple news am I supposed to be seeing here today? I know there's a new Macbook out. Anything else? No? How about just shutting up then? If you're getting mad about this, just stop coming to the site for a couple of days. There are plenty of other blogs out there that cover other things.

1. Your 10 year old is not the target audience for Apple Watch.

2. Is it possible that he thinks Magic Leap is awesome because you keep showing him videos of it? Not that there's anything wrong with that, but my kids think everything I show them online that's techie is awesome. I don't think that's a good barometer for what the future is.

VR/AR may very well take off at some point soon. Companies like Apple don't just not notice that. It's still 2015. Chill out.

Exactly!! That's why I didn't want the stainless steel. We KNOW the thing will get thinner and better.

YOU ARE THE TOGGLE! Simply stop reading the articles you're not interested in.

I would never read and click on a article I wasn't interested in.

B-b-but the only thing that matters is what I'm interested in and my point of view!

resale market is so strong. it was predictable to a point. however, over $1,000 for space grey sport! pretty crazy.
