How many possible combinations for prescription lenses are there again?
When I go to the optometrist, they have these lenses they snap in and out to have me try out different lens settings. I believe they have a cart full of those trial lenses. So while the number is not small, it seems doable for Apple stores to have a similar selection of lenses around.

Apple employee took 20 minutes to set it up and had to switch out iPads.

My appointment when picking up my VP took well over an hour. They had to rescan my glasses 4 times. Seems there was a server problem communicating with the assembly team in the basement.

I don't think Apple is supplying ZEISS prescription lenses for demos.

It'd be kinda weird if everyone with glasses was excluded from the experience.

As above they do supply lenses after scanning your glasses.

The benches have a small table for the VP

The demo units also have a temporary cover which they apply over the headband for sanitary reasons.

After the demo is over the used VP is placed in a cabinet to be sent back downstairs to be configured for the next customer. Here an employee is struggling to get the drawer unlocked.

I am just as awed by the logistics of ordering and demoing as I am about the product itself. Calling in an order you initiate a scan on your phone. They fetch it and apply it to your order. While in the demo they are watching what you are doing on a iPad. Can't even imagine how many hours and $ went into development of just the demos.

Sure I experienced a lot of glitches but what can you expect on day 1. They will work them all out in the future.

As for # of sales couldn't get a number but maybe ~20 a day.

Still no availability of demos at any of the 10 stores in my area.

Ok, I was in New York on Feb 7 and passed by the Apple store at the corner of Central Park. Apple Vision pro everywhere and two people with it strapped on their heads.

Come back to Toronto and no Vision Pro anywhere to be found. I checked the Apple store at the mall near me (I was buying cheap wine and a TV dinner) and still no Apple Vision Pro in the store. If you search for vision pro at the Canadian site I couldn’t see any mention of Apple Vision Pro. Not even a page saying coming soon.

Just something I noticed as Apple Vision Pro is still all over the place here and on social media.

Vision Pro is currently being sold only in the US.
