If a software as big as Vmware fusion can deploy arm support this fast, the arm macs will have a bright future for sure.
This is an Intel (x86) release. They haven’t released anything for ARM.If a software as big as Vmware fusion can deploy arm support this fast, the arm macs will have a bright future for sure.
I spent hours googling for ideas on how to fix. My VMware.log is full of messages about being unable to load certain files and then that network error. I did download fusion 12 on a Catalina machine, copied the image over there, fired it up and it worked fine. So it's not my windows image.
This only works on, and only supports Intel CPUs.If a software as big as Vmware fusion can deploy arm support this fast, the arm macs will have a bright future for sure.
This is a bug that Apple has to fix, unfortunately. Is this working for others on Big Sur Beta 11 (macOS 11.0 (20A5364e) ? I just updated from previous Big Sur beta and now broken.
I was running Fusion preview version - So I updated Fusion to 12 and it still doesn't work.
Could not connect 'Ethernet0' to virtual network '/dev/vmnet8'
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Rebooting. uninstalling rebooting reinstalling.
can someone explain to me why the paid VMs are so much better than VBox?
I've been running VBox for years and it's fine. Why should I pay?
It's a 32-bit Windows limitation. Switch to a 64-bit version of Windows.I installed the Fusion Player today, installed a Windows 10 Pro VM -> Everything works fine but I assigned 8GB RAM but Windows tells me it has 3GB of RAM (no matter what I do, it doesn't increase).
Maybe this is a Player limitation?
The first time ever I downloaded Windows 10 by mistake in a 32 bit version. Thank youIt's a 32-bit Windows limitation. Switch to a 64-bit version of Windows.
if you need neither of the above either Player or Virtualbox will do the job just fine
Fusion Player and Fusion Pro are exactly the same application. The features you get are based on the serial number you enter, and performance between the two is identical.Do you mean to say that Player is somehow limited in terms of performance? The information and editions comparison on the site implies that that's not so...

Roadmap: No Windows on Apple Silicon Macs.
May run ARM Linux if VMWare release an Apple Silicon version.
Other solutions usually have better DirectX integration and better seemless mode. VBox is a bit of a clunker in some of those areas, and it also has the Fisher Price UI still.can someone explain to me why the paid VMs are so much better than VBox?

is VMware good for playing games on as well as working?
