Ok. I think it'll be a DPD problem than a Vodafone one now but worth trying of course.

Did you get a short DPD link from Vodafone by text? That also shows live tracking.

Yep. Doesn't work either.

EDIT:

Vodafone live chat told me that the people with hour slots are in the minority. Which is a pain because I drove into work (rather than taking the bus) so I could nip home and grab it.

I've figured it out.

They have farmed their delivery out to a 3rd party! Someone called A2b. What a let down, I'm seriously ****ing annoyed since I live right near the DPD depot.

If I'd known this I would've taken a day off work.

WHAT! I was told that it could take up to four weeks, but whilst on the phone it was implied that there's no way it would take that long, I could still have it over the weekend if I'm lucky. I never expected that, but jesus, 6th November?!

Please reassure me that this isn't realistic, because if it is I may just keep the more expensive CPW EE handset I was planning on returning (it's arriving any minute)
 
Vodafone confirmed yesterday at 11am it would arrive today.Last night they emailed me to tell no phone.The tracking has changed a few times today to 2nd of October to the 9th of October.

I booked unpaid time off.

Very poor company the same happens every year. They tell you all week what you want to hear when they take your money but let you down at the last minute.

Got one more question about the VEA- Does it show up on your Vodafone account when you log in? My friend has received the confirmation e-mail saying it's been applied to my account but I've received no e-mail/no discount is showing on my account.

I've tried. No ****er is interested, as usual.

Not check that yet - but it normally shows on your bill at the end. It won't show in your My Vodafone app either.

I had the same issue but put it through again and both are now active and was confirmed by Vodafone in their VEA department.

The folks on live chat know nothing about the discount.

That well and truly sucks, need to bother my friend to submit it again for me :/

Yet in the mean time when you have taken out a contract and don't want to wait, you cannot get it cancelled unless you pay a cancellation charge...

Hmm, no thank you Vodafone, way too little and too late. It is your mess and you need to clean it up properly...
 
I tweeted DPD, they ignored me. I'm nipping home at lunch, I hope not to be greeted by a attempted delivery card! Heads. Will. Roll.

Vodafone promised me an hourly delivery slot.

My mate ordered online with Vodafone around 8am last friday for a 64GB Space Grey Plus. Just been notified today he won't get it until 2-9 October. B*stards
 
Ordered my 64GB iPhone 6 plus in SG by about 9:00am last Friday. Order not expected to ship until 02 October 2014 - 09 October 2014. Brilliant!

At least I get the 20% armed forces discount but it still sucks!

Can I confirm that the contract doesn't commence until I receive the phone?

Pretty much the same here.
Same phone, also same estimated delivery date, also with 20% off.

Currently hanging on the phone to CS trying confirm the contract hasn't started yet.

Just spoken to them online and they confirmed I won't be charged until the phone is delivered.
 
I'm picking mine up from the local depot this evening.

Such a pain in the arse. They blamed their systems! But other people have gotten hour slots without issue.
 
I've just been into the local town.

Had a look at the 6 and 6plus in CPW. Looks good. Really good. I think I've made the right decision (when it gets here!) (I've gone for 6plus).

Then went to the Vodafone shop. Thought I'd ask what stock they had in this morning. They said they hadn't had any of any of the models. I was going to go mad at Vodafone CS if there had been stock of the handset I wanted in store for random walk ins to buy when they didn't send mine out for a guaranteed pre-order (which with the stuff ups Vodafone have made I half expected them to do).

Typical when in doubt just blame the computer system, it's not like no one is there to overlook them or anything.
