My order is history. Thanks to everyone who helped though! I'm going to take my chances at the store on Friday.

Just curious. Anyone ever been to a VZW store on launch? Long lines? My nearest one is in a relatively small city. So I'm not sure what to expect.

Also they didn't know what they'll have in stock on launch but I'm assuming a few of each kind right? Just curious. The online debacle is not worth the effort for me at this point

I went to a Verizon store for the launch of the Motorola Droid. I was able to get one and get out before school started. I can't remember if there were even any other people there waiting to get one.

Any updates for anyone with a 10/14 ship date for 6 Plus 16GB Gold? Mine is still showing "Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time." Verizon rep said she can't see any date either.

Ditto. I got jumped yesterday due to a payment error on their part. Card was charged early yesterday afternoon. Still waiting on shipping info.

Same here,I had 2 orders that I ordered a few minutes after preorders went live, one has already shipped but the other got put on hold and had to be reordered because of their error so it knocked me to 10/14, so they did the jump the line and my card was charged yesterday afternoon, just waiting on shipping confirmation.

I got my 5S 64GB Space Grey this way last year. I went to Rancho Santa Margarita California which is a smallish, suburban town full of soccer mommies and families (I am a Dad of 2, live the suburban life also, whatevs I love it). I avoided the busier stores in Irvine, Newport and Costa Mesa because I knew there would be more people. I also knew it was riskier because lower traffic stores don't get the same level of supply that the bigger players do. I rolled the dice.

I went to the store around 5:30 and sat in a camping chair and watched movies on my iPad. The store opened at 8 and was the 6th or 7th in line. A rep came out around 7 am or so and started asking each person in the front of the line what they wanted. They said they had ZERO gold phones (had to call in a power-moves favor with the business team guy at the Apple store my tech startup uses for that one, but I got onnnneee!! :D). Anyway... at the RSM store they mentioned they had very limited larger capacity phones as well (very few 64gb, there were I think 3 or 4 total of the model I wanted in the entire store and I received the last one - sorry guy that was 2-3 people behind me! Heard him cursing back there).

Based on the way the ship dates slipped into oblivion this year I imagine if you want a 128gb and/or a hot color, you will roll the dice at your local, small store. If you get there early enough and your town doesn't have a bunch of tech fiends like here in SoCal you might be alright and get anything you want. I preordered this year because last year's runaround was a PITA and I'd rather just sleep on launch day, watch reviews and chill until my phone shows up. I'd rather definitely get it vs sleep on the floor of some retail shop and maybe, possibly, i dunno get it.

Well, my card has been charged. My Verizon is showing the purchase and order, but no shipping info or email. Took long enough, hope I still get it on Friday.

So I'm curious as to where you get the info for your location code. Mine is D543001

I'm also still waiting to see if my "no information at this time" status changes anytime soon. It's weird to me that those who ordered at 12-3:30am also got the 10/7 arrival date, seeing that I ordered mine at 7:00 am after all was said and done. I know the woman said that 10/7 was worst case scenario, so maybe I'll get here sometime in Sept. *fingers crossed*

I actually camped outside of a VZW store for the 5S (I had no life and well, why not?), and it was a nightmare. The sales reps try to sell you every add-on in the book, and the one's at my store had terrible customer service. The line behind me was pretty long, about an hour wait on average. They did not get one single gold iphone due to a shortage and they didn't let us know until we checked out. As crazy as the preorder might get, it still beats my store experience. However, it could be different in your town. Sounds like it's your last shot! Let us know how it goes!

I can attest that this happened to me as well. After them allowing only 3-4 people in the store per "batch" (why?) I got in and immediately requested the 5s 64GB SG as I mentioned to the greeting rep earlier.

They said "we'll see if we have one" (the rep that greeted everyone already checked stock vs request and said it was good, why piss someone off with these games?). Then the "we'll see" guy came back with the phone and tried to sell me a bunch of lame cases, some NFL content thing? and a bunch of other crapware and their junky insurance / app stuff. After the second or third pitch I told the guy the only thing I am buying is this device and he should spend his time on someone else in the line and get me out of there so he can land an upsell on some other gullible clown. He quickly agreed and I was free.

Someone should start a thread tomorrow at night for those of us that are making line at a verizon store. We can compare the experience from town to town. I'll trade my morning surf on friday for the iPhone 6+. It's a small price to pay. Plus, here in Cali the weather will be perfect to be out there.

Ships 10/7

I just got off the phone with a VZW CSR who said he had just gotten an updated chart of shipping dates for particular iPhone models. I told him that after many ECPD errors, I was finally able to get my order in at 12:24 PDT. He told me that my iPhone 6+ Space Gray 64 GB wouldn't ship until 10/7, arriving 10/9. He said that all orders for that model from 12:00-12:15 PDT would be shipped out in time for the launch, and from 12:15-4:00 AM would be shipped out on 10/7.

Total bummer. And I thought I had a relatively low order number (20****).

That seems to line up with where I am sitting. I ordered the 6+ 64GB Space Gray at 1am PDT. Initial e-mail and CSR's say 10/7 is a good date.

Just got tracking numbers for my two 6 Plus 128GB Space Gray phones.

In Westchester, PA and coming to SoCal. Standard Overnight delivery with an expected delivery date of 9/18/14 8:00 PM. Lol FedEx, you're cruel with the teasing.

Please forgive me if this has been answered earlier, but I just came off of an 18 hour shift and have not been able to follow the thread as closely as I would like.

I am hoping to surprise my daughter (college age) with an iPhone 6 (NOT the plus), Gold, 64GB. Based on all that we have been piecing together, would it be likely that being a regular 6 that these should be available on Friday?

Thanks so much!
