It looks like there are a lot of iPhone 6 Pluses at local retailers. Check out http://idevicechecker.com to find one near you. If I had one closer than 2 hours away I'd be canceling my order.
I think it depends on where you are at and what size you want. I have a 64 on order, but the checker doesn't show a 64 or 128 6+ within 4 hours of me.
Also, it doesn't line up exactly, I see some availability according to idevicechecker that doesn't show on the Apple Store stie either.

Status Change
So I placed my pre-order at 4:30am on 9/12 for a 6 and a 6 plus. Got a confirmation email of deliver by 10/7. A week later it changed to 10/3. Last night my CC was charged and my status changed listing my order number and a blank tracking number. Does anyone know how long it is from the CC getting charged to getting a tracking number?
I am feeling confident that the 10/3 delivery will hold true but knowing there might be a chance I get them before then would be cool.

I woke up this morning and there was an email from my CC company. It was a fraud charge! Somebody from Mexico tried to use it at 2am.It was the CC that I used to order my iPhone 6. I called VZW, told them what happened and they had to redo my order all over again with a different CC.

I think its ridiculous that since 9-12 its said this "We received your order and it is in process" Best buy about 45 minutes with me have got 6+ Tuesday and Wednesday and have sold out in less than an hour. Why did I preorder again? I understand theres a high demand but why are stores still getting them before the preorderers lol.

Same here!!! I'm never putting up with verizon with pre orders again. I'm seriously pissed. They need to do it in orders received. But no they are jackasses. I'm 10/3 too. Hopefully ours go through today, or I'm gonna flip some serious **** on verizon.
I orderd the 6 + 16GB (gold) on 9/12 at 4:35 ET. I am not seeing any movement either. My date is 10/10.
Yeah, I'm seriously ****ing pissed. Verizon is gonna get yelled at by me. Even though it won't help. But I'm gonna report this to macrumors, 9to5mac. Everyone.
according to idevicechecker.com every target and bestbuy in ohio have 16 gold 6+
I ordered the 6+ 64gb gold and havent had any action since it moved from 10-7 to 10-3
You're pissed off because your phone that is supposed to ship on 10/3 hasn't shipped as of 9/25?
no hes pissed that hes 10/3 and people that are 10/10 and later are getting shipping information
You should get it Friday (tomorrow) like me. Once CC is charged, it's has shipped. 24 hours for tracking info to become available, usually 2 day shipping. You should receive tracking info this afternoon/evening, and should receive the phone tomorrow.
Thanks: But I am in Maryland and I orderd it via the comcast/verizon link. Comcast is offering $200 with a new Verizon account.
I understand that some people are frustrated about others shipping before there's, but look at this way, Apple controls all the shipping stuff, and what kind of phone do you have? It appears the 64 and 128GB were the only ones that moved yesterday. The 16 will move soon, plus all of these orders are all being delivered at least a week ahead of EOD.
The date doesn't matter. What does matter is the model you got and the storage option. If they get 16GB 6+s in, they're not going to hold them because the person that ordered it is behind you in line. There are like 18 different lines because of all the different storage options and color options, not to mention the Regular and Plus

6+ 64GB SG, ordered at about 1am Pacific Time on the 12th, therefore about an hour after ordering started. I had shown a date of 10/7, then changed to 10/3.
Credit Card charged yesterday afternoon, with Order Status showing processing.
Tracking info became available at about 7am PT today. FedEx just got their paws on it this morning, so scheduled delivery is Monday. I was hoping that maybe it was picked up yesterday so that delivery would be tomorrow, but that is not the case.

curious, i pre ordered the same thing on 9/12 order #103xxx expected ship date 10/17

Maybe this is just splitting hairs but why would a lower GB model be harder to ship out than higher GB models? You would think that it would be the other way around if it was due to some manufacturing shortage lower GB is easier to ship than the bigger models. Whatever just give me my damn phone apple and verizon you tools
