This is my first time ordering during the pre-sale hysteria. my last 3 iPhone's have always been purchased in store several months after launch.... This is the first iPhone that's made me want it on day one...
I ordered 2 iPhone 6+'s, 64g, at 12:10am pst. on 9/12. My preorder confirmation email states delivered by 9/19. My credit card has not been charged, checked about a 1,000 times online and the expected delivery date went from "9/19, to 10/7, to shipping date unavailable at this time".... same as others have stated. It also shows that I'm still eligible for an upgrade on the two lines that I upgraded with the 6+'s.
I called Verizon customer support today. This is what they told me....
My pre-sale confirmation number is essentially " holding my place in line", nothing has been ordered/purchased yet. It's guaranteeing me that I will receive my phones by the shipping date on the confirmation email (9/19).
He stated that my order won't be processed/billed until my phones are ready for shipment. Once they are ready to be shipped, my cc will be charged, I receive an email with my order and shipping/tracking details.
Although, like many of you, I have been "wringing my hands" the past couple of days over when I will receive my phones... there should be nothing to worry about. Everyone should get their phones on the date that is stated on your pre-sale confirmation email regardless of their credit card status or what is stated when checking the order online.
