Now the problem is, I will not be home. And I want to pick it up at the FedEx store. Has anyone had any experience with this? Should I call Verizon or FedEx so they don't leave it at my door? (I live in an apartment and I don't want someone taking my box)

ATTENTION: IPHONE 6+ PURCHASERS
My order confirmation e-mail said delivery would be 9/19, then order status online told me October 7th, then later said "Not available at this time" so this morning I look at the order status again and it told me it was being processed and to check back tomorrow. So my situation is like several other people who ordered a 6+. I have yet to receive an e-mail saying the item had been shipped and/or find a tracking number UNTIL NOW. I logged into My Verizon on-line, on the left hand side of the screen there is a list of things you can look at, I hit the arrow at the bottom of that pane to expand and then clicked on "Check Order Status" and it pulled my list of orders. Next to my iPhone 6+ it had the actual tracking number and linked me to Fedex's website where it gave me all of the shipping info and told me delivery would be Friday per Fedex.
I suggest some of you who are still in doubt try that and see if it gives a tracking number.
I have some more news regarding the order lookup dates. The reason why there are no dates or not the right dates in the iconic order lookup is because Verizon only knows the number of iPhone 6 pluses it will get. When there is no physical item to tie the order to, it will not display the correct info.
Refer to your confirmation email. That is generated off of what Verizon will have available to ship on 9/18. That's why your seeing people with iPhone 6s getting shipping confirmations already. Your credit card actually gets charged when it passes through inventory at the warehouse.
As I said earlier, refer to your confirmation emails, that email is based of off what the number of phones verizon will have on hand on 6/18. Those numbers are concrete. Each carrier knows their allotment.
Remember Apple is telling investors and other people that they intend to have 80 million iPhone 6s and 6+'s by the end of the year. That means these will be pumping along every week. So those that have a 10/7 date, I would imagine that date is just a buffer date and wouldn't be surprised if they actually were delivered on 9/26
If they come and your not ther they will leave a slip all you need to do is sing that slip and when they come back the next day they will leave it.
If that dont work call then and set it up so you can pick it up a a fedex locacation or have then send it to your work place if you can do that.
If only I wasn't a new customer... Any tips for me? I'm stuck in the "We have received your order and is in process." And with no estimated delivery.
Just checked My Verizon order status and got my Fedex tracking number.
