It's crazy the guy above me ordered the same phone 6+ 64 silver 2 days after me. Got a expected delivery a week before me and it's already shipping. ..wow not sure the logic there. Lol

Not necessarily true as a blanket statement. The shipping time was 10/17 on the site when I ordered it (9/28). The in-store sales rep said mid-October.
It shipped today. Maybe they are way off on their shipping estimates, but overall they don't seem readily available. No apple store had them in stock for a 100 mile radius (probably 10 stores).
That's what I ordered iphone + 64 silver but 2 days earlier. .the 17th. I'd love a tracking number this week but I doubt it
That happened to me when I canceled my first order and re-ordered through the website. I just got an order number. When I changed my mind again I actually spoke with a Verizon rep. Whatever he did changed it back to a pre-order.
Maybe call Verizon and ask?

Jumping in on here. I ordered the 6+ 16GB in Space Grey in 9/12 at 11:02AM through Verizon's Business portal. Received a confirmation that day that it would deliver by 10/14. I legitimately thought I'd have it by now as a lot of my past iPhone ordered showed a month wait time and ended up being less than a week.
When I check the order online it simply shows a status of "PRE".

My iPhone 6 made the journey from Memphis TN to Lewisberry PA today, a 14 1/2 hour trip. Tonight it is a scant 2 1/2 hours from me. I expect to have it in my hot little hands tomorrow early afternoon. That would be the exact estimated delivery date on the original order.

Ordered a Silver 6+ 128GB on 9/12. I had the ECDP error, and then got incorrect advice (from a VZW online chat) to order as a new customer. (That order was put on hold, and later canceled.) I finally placed an order over the phone at 4:48 AM EDT -- confirmation email arrived 5:33 AM. On the phone, and in email, my delivery date was 10/14 -- then unavailable, then back to 10/14, then 10/10, where it sits now. I have location code X08890, order number 390xxx. So far, no movement -- just crickets.
iPhone 6+ 128GB Silver was delivered today, one day early, by FedEx! That's 15 days earlier than the first delivery estimate of 10/14.

So my 6+ 64gig space gray has finally shipped, they used Used Fed Ex with overnight shipping after it sat in limbo since Saturday, I will get it tomorrow, can't wait! Looks like it was picked up by the carrier at 3am this morning, just got my email from Verizon around 6:30pm, went looking for a case today, after 4 different stores I was able to find one, very limited selection out there.

I order a 4.7" iPhone 6 (64GB Silver) from Verizon's website last night (9/28) and despite receiving a warning that it would "ship by 10/17", they shipped it out to me this morning, with delivery due tomorrow.
Somewhat ironically, I had been thinking that I'd probably rather have the 6 Plus, so I was about to cancel the order earlier when I saw that it had just shipped much sooner than I had expected.
I guess I'll give the 4.7" a try for a week or so and just pay the $35 restocking fee if I want to move up to the 5.5" after that. I'm still concerned about how the 6 Plus will handle being used at the gym while I'm listening to music (I had been used to just putting my iPhone 5 in my pocket) -- I can just picture myself destroying it if I don't get a better place to stow it.

Free overnight shipping doesn't mean they have to ship it overnight. If a merchant has a location near you, they can ship it ground and you will still get it the next day...
