I have not seen that iPhone availability of the 6+ has been in great supply anywhere in actual stores. While it has been true some were able to get a 6+ at the store, overall, it seems that number was pretty small, and in fact remains so. Maybe the sites I am checking are not accurate, but they have seemed when I have checked stores to be close. I'd suggest http://istocknow.com, http://www.seaturtle.org/idevice/iphone6_grid.shtml, (both track only Apple stores and http://idevicechecker.com (which track more stores.
I have never pre-ordered anything before, so I have no comparison. I got my iPad3 on release day at a Best Buy a couple of years ago. I do not know if I will do it again (I need to get through this first) but even a few peeks at the other threads (ATT, Sprint, etc) are not faring any better, and seem to be doing worse.
I really do believe there will continue to be a lot of shipping notices and deliveries in the next few days.

For me mine is Spotify but I use it in offline mode (which makes no sense since it still uses some of my space). But there's literally nothing on my phone but a few apps and about 10 pictures that transferred from my iPad. Spotify took about 1.4gbs I believe. So not too bad.
Honestly for me, I don't have much music at all on my phone anymore, Spotify as well for my music streaming. I do have a lot of pics that I take, but I regularly off load them to iPhoto. IDK, just never really needed anymore storage..I thought about the 64GB though

Kind of off topic, but speaking of Spotify.. I'm surprised how many major app developers haven't updated their apps for the new iPhones. The stretched view on Spotify and Facebook is pretty ugly. As lame as it is to be stuck waiting for the phones, there is a lot of catch up that still needs to be done by devs to fully take advantage of the new device
Yeah. I wasn't sure if it was me or if Facebook was supposed to look like that. The text looks a little too big and stretched out. I'm sure they'll update them soon though. For Spotify I haven't really noticed anything.

Yeah. I thought about the 64gb also but I also had to keep in mind how much I would be paying overtime (749.99 vs. 649.99). Not much of a difference but I'm on a budget lol.
Been browsing this forum since I preordered on the 12th. So happy for all of you who has received your iPhones!! I ordered mine around 3:00pm pst on the 12th. My original date when I checked my status said ship by 10/31 but I got moved up four days to 10/24 last week some time. My order status still says "We received your order and its in process; it has Been that way since I ordered. Apple did not predict the demand for this iPhone at all, apple needed this phone years ago, also lots of people made fun of big phones (especially apple fans) so that alone threw apple off guard (now that many want the bigger phone, again apple fans especially)
I have asked 3 verizon stores around me and NONE have received any 6 plus phones for sale at all, also the only store I seen any at are apple (of course, but limited in supply every time) and target (but only 16 gig versions).
you can also thank the chinese for buying them here and shipping them to china, the chinese police seized a few shipments BUT I believe many got thru!! (you can thank your government for this, yah I know this may be biased)
I also think verizon has done a wonderful job this time, by not getting any in store (or practically not many in some parts of the usa) and shipping them to pre orders instead.
Also 10=24 ship dates should be (at least I believe) next week, thats like 2-3 weeks earlier.
HANG in there I canceled my verizon order and was lucky to get one at a apple store (they only got in 2) 2 nights ago, and it is well worth it, I came from an android htc one max.
Some things I miss but others I welcome on the new 128 gb 6 plus steel gray.
Welp, it's October 1st and I've had no movement on my order (9/12 @ 5:30AM EST, 16GB 6+ SG) other than 'Your order has been sent for processing.' with a ship by date of 10/10.
I fully expect them to ship me the wrong phone at this point or something, that would be the icing on the cake.

When I pre-ordered my 5s, it said processing up until the second to last day of shipping. In other words, on 10/8 your order might say "Shipped!"
I don't know if anyone cares, but I "pre-ordered" my iPhone 6 (16 GB) on 9/23 and was originally given a date of 10/17. I was charged for it on 9/30 (or 9/29, forgot which one) and now have a tracking number that says I'll be getting it on 10/3.

Was calling Verizon to cancel my order just now since I can order it on Apple.com and pick it up today. The person told me it has already shipped since my credit card was charged yesterday morning and should be getting an email with the tracking number today.
