Since I am EDGE'ing up, in the time of backorder I have made another regular monthly payment. So does my EDGE up amount change since my card still has not been charged for the new phone I've EDGE'd up to? Noodle and chew on that for a while.

To add to the riddle, I am still showing the old EDGE up amount (granted it's been 5 minutes) instead of the new one (which updates immediately in MyVerizon).![]()
WOW! SmhSo I called Verizon today and they said that the order had failed....AGAIN! I'm on the phone with them and they are replacing the order for the 3rd or 4th time.....this is seriously the worst experience buying anything I've ever had. I'm glad I called or I would be sitting here waiting around tell 10/17 for the phone to come! They never even called me!

Welcome to Verizon... GREAT cell/data coverage, TERRIBLE service, OVERPRICED phones and plans... I've tried other carriers, but in my area everyone else has terrible coverage
Unless you are doing anything special why not just order it from Apple directly? I really only ordered it via Verizon because of the 1 extra GB/month for 24 months incentive. Other wise I would have gone the Apple route.
And coverage is the most important thing, so we deal with it. One recommendation I have is to find a good in store rep who has some tenure and knows what they are doing. I know a few people who work at Verizon and I will only go to them. It make take a few trips to the store to find the right person, but you can establish a relationship and eventually deal with only them. I actually text my rep and he tells me a good time to come in and they set up an appointment for me. Then I don't have to wait in line like everyone else, I get helped as soon as my guy is ready (usually right away because of the appointment.) I can't tell you how much of a difference a good, knowledgeable rep makes. You'll also receive a more personalized experience because the rep will know you and your plan very well. You get the right rep, and they will be checking in a things like this periodically, making sure their good customer is being taken care of.
Status and iconic still show 10/17. CSR checked the system which indicated 10/23.

Same here! My charge for edging up was $62., which hasn't been charged to my card yet since the phone hasn't shipped...technically, it should go down by like $37 for me...
You guys were charged for the edge program? Or are you talking about the monthly payment? If you are, I asked the guy I ordered from, he said it shouldn't take effect until the new phone is activated.

I checked with Verizon and they said you can do the trade in as long as it is a Verizon authorized dealer not just Verizon corporate stores because I specifically asked about Walmart and Apple stores who were Verizon authorized. I saved the chat log too.
