Yeah, the 10/24's are definitely seeing movement. Maybe the 10/31's will see some this week. *fingers crossed*

If not this week, then I'd def think next week! And hey, I'll be more than happy if my 10/31 gets movement next week!
 
Here's a fun riddle for you all...

Since I am EDGE'ing up, in the time of backorder I have made another regular monthly payment. So does my EDGE up amount change since my card still has not been charged for the new phone I've EDGE'd up to? Noodle and chew on that for a while.

To add to the riddle, I am still showing the old EDGE up amount (granted it's been 5 minutes) instead of the new one (which updates immediately in MyVerizon). :D

Same here! My charge for edging up was $62., which hasn't been charged to my card yet since the phone hasn't shipped...technically, it should go down by like $37 for me...

No, pretty sure your 20 payments start on the bill cycle you activate the phone.
 
So I called Verizon today and they said that the order had failed....AGAIN! I'm on the phone with them and they are replacing the order for the 3rd or 4th time.....this is seriously the worst experience buying anything I've ever had. I'm glad I called or I would be sitting here waiting around tell 10/17 for the phone to come! They never even called me!

EDIT: Lost my dads payment info too. Now I gotta call him at work and hope he has time to give me the card info.

Welcome to Verizon... GREAT cell/data coverage, TERRIBLE service, OVERPRICED phones and plans... I've tried other carriers, but in my area everyone else has terrible coverage

Unless you are doing anything special why not just order it from Apple directly? I really only ordered it via Verizon because of the 1 extra GB/month for 24 months incentive. Other wise I would have gone the Apple route.
 
Welcome to Verizon... GREAT cell/data coverage, TERRIBLE service, OVERPRICED phones and plans... I've tried other carriers, but in my area everyone else has terrible coverage

And coverage is the most important thing, so we deal with it. One recommendation I have is to find a good in store rep who has some tenure and knows what they are doing. I know a few people who work at Verizon and I will only go to them. It make take a few trips to the store to find the right person, but you can establish a relationship and eventually deal with only them. I actually text my rep and he tells me a good time to come in and they set up an appointment for me. Then I don't have to wait in line like everyone else, I get helped as soon as my guy is ready (usually right away because of the appointment.) I can't tell you how much of a difference a good, knowledgeable rep makes. You'll also receive a more personalized experience because the rep will know you and your plan very well. You get the right rep, and they will be checking in a things like this periodically, making sure their good customer is being taken care of.

Apple has never been able to access my Verizon account....I would have to buy the phone outright which I don't want to do. Besides Im doing $200 trade in with my old iPhone 4.

Yes! This is great advice and i actually have a friend from college that works at Verizon and i always go to him when possible. He almost always gets me a break on the phone price, and gets rid off all the stupid charges (activation fee, new line fee, etc.) that they sometimes leave on. He says they really shouldn't have those charges and if you throw a fit they almost always remove them. But yes it definitely makes a difference, however in this case I wish i had gone through Apple, but i wasn't sure if i could Edge up with Apple or not.
 
Status and iconic still show 10/17. CSR checked the system which indicated 10/23.

Hate to quote a second time, just got off the phone with a CSR and mine's still showing as shipping on the 17th. Don't know what happened to your order. I guess we'll see Friday if either one is telling the truth, lol!

Someone at Verizon is sitting at a monitor laughing at us... :) I was the same way last night, checking it and hoping it was going to magically ship
 
So a CSR FINALLY cancels the order and and re-orders gets everything perfect and set to go and then the automated confirmation terms and agreements thing disconnects and screws the whole thing up....just had to redo the entire order again with a new CSR because apparently they don't know what they are doing....Iconic actually responds to my confirmation number, doesn't show much but at least it works....fingers crossed...

EDIT: I think I'd rather cut all my fingers off slowly with a dull knife and make a salad out of them than purchase a phone through Verizon again. I think I'd have better luck robbing the Apple store. No seriously I'm never doing this again...if I weren't so mad I'd probably be on the floor laughing right now (I'm smiling a little actually :p), this whole thing has just been a train wreck!

You guys were charged for the edge program? Or are you talking about the monthly payment? If you are, I asked the guy I ordered from, he said it shouldn't take effect until the new phone is activated.

When edging up...it has to be 60% paid off (the current phone). So mine had $62 and change remaining in order to be 60% paid off...so to upgrade, I had to pay that amount.

My iconic info shows CC payment of $62 (which hasn't been charged yet), while due to having more monthly bills since then, my actual cost now to edge up is only $31, and that is reflected on my verizon, if I go now and try and edge up, it says I have to pay $31, vs the $62 I did when I edged up.

So hoping that when my phone ships, I don't get charged $62 but instead, $31...but I'm not going to be too hopeful that their systems will be working correctly to figure that out...

And yes, the new monthly device payment for the new phone, won't be added to your bill until you have the phone, I can confirm this from my most recent Verizon bill, same device cost I've had the last year with my 5s, $30 something, not the new $47 for the Plus

Two weeks after order, MyVerizon added the name of the phone to my order.
Three weeks after order, MyVerizon says I cannot return phone because return window has closed.
Three weeks after order, MyVerizon tells me to activate new phone.

Other than that, no movement... want my new phone.

I checked with Verizon and they said you can do the trade in as long as it is a Verizon authorized dealer not just Verizon corporate stores because I specifically asked about Walmart and Apple stores who were Verizon authorized. I saved the chat log too.

I have had VZ tell me 4 different "solutions" to the trade in, and each employee (both on the phone and in the store) said that the previous employee was incorrect. I don't have too much faith in continuity at this point.
