VZW Order Status Thread

Ahhhhhh...wife just pointed out that my cc activity to VZW is only a "temp authorization", it is for the full amount though. The CSR I just spoke with wasnt much help, said that the temp is when ordered, i explained that is was ordered 9/29, they didnt make much sense after that. They did however ask about the amount of the temp auth and i noted that it is the full amount $349. Anyone?

You're getting ready to ship. They only do the charge when they ship the phone.

Hang in there- Just this minute got a tracking number for one just like it. I ordered 9/15 about noon.

No tracking number, but I did get an email from Verizon telling me that the "ship by date" is on target for 10/24/2014. So, it is confirmation my order is still valid, but perhaps best of all, the email contained my preorder confirmation number, so I too can start spamming the iconic system

I just got a random email from Verizon telling me my iPhone's ship by date is "on target" for the 24th. I was hoping for this week but on well, one more week won't kill me. Maybe.

Has anyone tried one of the tempered glass screen protectors? I have used the regular peel on kind for my Iphone 4 and probably will again, but was just curious about the more expensive tempered glass covers they have now.

I actually just installed one on my phone. I like it. It doesn't fit the whole screen because of the curved edges but it works pretty well.

So all day FedEx has said delivery would be today, shipped Wednesday from PA to MA. Just got notice it won't come till Monday it shouldn't be this hard.

Status Update

I posted earlier about my iphone 6 + 128gb gold having no movement since i placed the order on 9/28. I just received an e-mail saying my expected ship date has moved from 10/31 to 10/24. No movement in order status or iconic at this time. Hopefully things are getting moved up across the board.

I've tried some apps with the notification center. Some work well, some are still buggy.

how do you cancel an order with verizon?

I just went to the Verizon store to do that. Twice. First cancelled the 16gb gold 6+ for a sg 64gb 6, and then cancelled the order when I was able to get a silver 64gb 6+ at the Apple store. I suppose just calling the number for sales would allow you to do the same thing. I wanted to make sure they knew me for the $200 trade in, which I received.

Every Apple Store in Chicago has the 6 Plus available for pick-up. I tried reserving one but it was denied since I have an order pending with VZW. So close yet so far.

It would take 24 hours to cancel the VZW order which by that time the Apple Stores would be sold out.

I was able to go to the Apple store, and they sent me a text which held the phone for the day (until closing). I then went to a Verizon store and was able to cancel the preorder right away. Had the phone later that day. Did you stop into a Verizon store to ask about cancelling?

I finally saw some movement within Fedex. It was picked up today. Location is Pa and it says delivery is on track for Tuesday. I sure was hoping for a Monday delivery.

Also interesting that this website I have been checking has not updated so it is almost as if this website was a waste as far as me checking. The iconic page used with the inserted confirmation number and last name was the best place for me to see movement.

I think you're good. The temp charge is to make sure the charge will go through. Sounds like you should be getting more info soon.
