I called Verizon after seeing "payment not taken" note on order status....CSR was really nice and seemed to be "in the know". She put me on hold while she talked to the credit department (since those are the people who i talked to yesterday). After a ten minute hold, she tells me that the order wasn't processing because the credit dept. forgot to check mark a box for final approval.
Anyway, she said the guy in the credit department did what needed done and pushed my order to the front of the line to maintain the 10/24 ship date as well as adding next day shipping.
She said the order status page should change in the next couple of hours.
On a side note - I noticed Verizon changed their data plans, and when looking at this, noticed that they forgot to give me my free 1gb per iPhone pre-order promotion!
