Seriously nothing has changed that matters... Unless you're upgrading from a potato wait a year or two for the next iPhone. This phone smells like iPhone XSS... It's not going to make sure you feel great like the iPhone 4, 5, and 6 did...

I think most ppl will buy Pro models initially to get their hands on. Maybe they will find cameras too big & prices too high & then return it to go with iPhone 11. But they will upgrade, i don't like the notch & big cameras but still buying it. iPhones are irresistible lol. One can always sell iPhones on decent price 4 months before every September.

It's my money, I can easily afford it, and it's my business. I choose to upgrade every year.

I think that it'd be nice to one day read a report saying that Iphone sales have slowed down because people are tired of being taken advantage of.

I'd like to see Apple stop worrying so much about their margins and return some of that value to consumers. Ya know, like have 64gb not be the base model of $1000 phone when their competitors all give so much more.

At the end of the day this is what it comes down to. They know they have the U.S market in their pocket and so they take advantage of that fact. The second this is no longer the case Tim Cook would crap his pants and start actually delivering something worthy of upgrading to.\

The sad part is these fans like the guy above this post actually hurts the company in the long run. Outside of fanboys everyone for the last few years have been underwhelmed with apple, and the resentment grows every single year. Just take a look outside these walls.

I don’t think that I am going to upgrade. I don’t use the camera features that much and my iPhone still does everything I need it to do. I am waiting for the iPhone to have a feature that I will personally use on a daily. Like 5G...other than that..I am still waiting for the upgrade.

People aren’t just blindly buying stuff we don’t think is worth it. Other flagships have reached apple prices as well. I have the money to buy the new phone every year and I do, but if i didn’t see enough value in a year I would skip it.

So where's your value now? Where was the value from the X to the XS?

Let's say you have an X, you jump on this new phone for the new camera to somehow take all the advantage of that third camera for 1 year until the new phone comes out next year? I mean, yeah?

I think people don't see value in this, and it's a 'trend'. People are tech obsessed and Apple, despite trying to show some type of ******** morality about screen time knows people are obsessed, and they take full advantage of that by still putting 64gb in a flagship phone in 2019.

But they are gettign ripped off. Look at the fastest growing smart phone market.. China.

Apple keeps failing there, and miserably. Outside of a "status" symbol most people can't wrap their head around what apple gives them in terms of value they can't find elsewhere for much cheaper. That's why they continue to struggle in China, they lack the fanboys there.

Much better photos and much better battery doesn’t matter for you? All the smaller things like faster cellular and Face ID doesn’t matter to you?

The 2020 big ticket item will be 5G. The phone may get a new look, maybe thicker and heavier again because of the larger battery to give similar battery life on 5G, Or using tech from the watch for always on display, but maybe that’s for the 2021 phone.

Rumors and nothing else. Look how the rumors for this year turned out. The only one feature wise that was remotely true was three lenses in the camera. The only time Apple has EVER deviated from the S versions is the 10th anniversary of the iPhone with the X. They came out with the 8 and the X that year. But the was really just a 7S with wireless charging. And they only did that because it was the 10th anniversary of the iPhone.

I would just he really surprised if next year they all of a sudden decided to skip the S model. Rumors don’t mean anything and just because people have said they think it will be a design change doesn’t mean it will.

Still on my 7 plus128 gb, great phone , great pictures, no glass back...perhaps if touch id under display is implemented on next years iphone i will consider buying , otherwise 2021.
