the iPhone 7 will be a 6 with minor casing tweaks and the latest gimmicks that aren't good for anything aside from showing off the feature. I hate to say this because i am a fanboy but i think the success of the iphone has destroyed the iphone. Apple doesn't feel the need to innovate, they know each release will sell millions so why pour so much $ into R&D when we can reused the casing and just tweak the innards. Case in point, iPhone SE.
Now what i do think is that the iPhone 7 will boost iPhone SE sales through the roof. Fast as hell in a compact design, something Apple has never done before. Usually the "mini" has less than stellar tech. Case in point, iPhone 5C or iPad Mini ( up until iPad Mini 4).
iPhone 8 will be the next major design change and will be a full departure from current and past form factors.
picked up an iPhone SE. Best iPhone design EVER! (imo)
If we have to believe the rumours, the iPhone 7 will look almost the same as the 6-series, which I find one of the ugliest designed iPhone's ever.
To this moment, I have gotten every new iPhone on launch day just because I enjoy it and I can. And I am with ya in that I have grown bored of the 6 series. But based on all of the leaks to this point, many from analysts with solid track records, it looks like the 7 will not differentiate much from the 6 series leaving me for the first time ever contemplating skipping a generation. Sucks, because I love getting a new phone.
Small bezels will spoil the looks of the iPhone.i Will really hate it if it comes in small bezels.why copy ****** design of Android phones.6 series design is best for daily handy usages.old SE design sucksExactly! I feel the same way. Based on the rumors we've heard so far there seems to be no real reason to upgrade other than a better camera which I feel my 6s plus camera is just fine. Looks like we'll have to wait for 7s or 8 for new redesign, (hopefully smaller bezels) no home screen, wireless charging etc.

Using iPhone 6 and now iPhone 6s plus the day it came out never slipped from my hand.perfect as from day one6 series is best for daily handy usage? well, if you like holding a slippery soapblock, yeah...then the 6 serie is really ''handy''![]()
I can understand and appreciate not wanting to lose the iconic design oh the iPhone. But at the same time, I'm at the point where I'd certainly welcome more screen real estate in a smaller overall size.Small bezels will spoil the looks of the iPhone.i Will really hate it if it comes in small bezels.why copy ****** design of Android phones.6 series design is best for daily handy usages.old SE design sucks
I'm curious as to what changes you think would make a really cool device for the 7? The phone is fast, reliable and easy to use. I liked the design of both the 5 & 6 series. I also like some of the Android-based designs but I'm on an iPhone primarily because I prefer the Apple ecosystem and the rest of my family does too. We love iMessage.
If the iPhone 7 is completely sealed and included some basic wireless headphones, wireless charging etc I would really be interested. I like the concept of a fully water and dust proof design. I also like the no wires functionality. I think such a device would be worth the premium I pay each year when I upgrade.
I'll probably upgrade regardless so my family members continue to get the trickle down whether they do something unique or not.
deadly waiting for iPhone 7. Completely bored from 6 series.just wanted to know how many are waiting for iPhone 7 and which colour are you picking
First, Design is important to Apple. Second, Design is important to Apple Users. Third no matter how you look at it, spending $600+ per year on a device that looks almost identical to the one you bought last year for $600 is going get old real quick. Incremental speed increases under the hood don't really matter. Gimmicks get old fast. A phone is an extreme personal device, you pull it out and look at many many times per day. Psychologically you want to see something new and fresh to subconsciously justify your purchase. The SE works because it is an older design so people associate the phone as being a true upgrade from the 5 series. They don't compare it to the iPhone 6 in terms of specs, they compare it to the 5 and 5S, therefore the speed increase is that much greater and more appreciated among the 5/5S user base.
Thinner isn't a selling point for me. I prefered the original iPhone design to all other designs. It was thicker, it was sturdier and build like a tank. I never had a case on my first gen iPhone and neither did the family members i passed it down to. It was metal, i dropped it numerous times, it bounced and landed face down and kept on truckin. Never had the screen break, never felt the fear of it breaking. Of course it was the first iPhone so I had the cell phone mentality. I never had a case for any cellphone ever in my life until the 3G. Before that a cellphone was utilitarian, they all got scratches and scuffs but i was blind to it because i didnt feel the need to appreciate the design of the device to the point that i had to protect it.
When the iPhone 6 came out, i was excited because the design was similar to the original iPhone, rounded edges all around and metal all over. but as soon as i received it, i knew instantly it was a fragile device, i would need protection.
So for me, i would prefer a thicker iPhone, fill that extra space with a massive injection style battery like they have on the macbooks. Lose the home button or integrate it into the screen. give the phone some feel that it is from the future like they did with the first iPhone. I really don;t have all the answers. Its Apple's Job to wow us with the device full of features we didn't know we needed. I just know that 3 years of the same design is bland, and unlike the computer world, the mobile device world is highly competitive, Apple doesn't just need to catch up with the advancements of other mobile device manufacturers, they need to past them. I'm an Apple Fanboy, i hate Android and find the OS over cluttered and unorganized. but i will admit the quick access to features make it convenient and some physical features give the user options for input and interaction that Apple has simply ignored. Maybe i'm dreaming and the innovation is gone from Apple, I didnt upgrade to the 6s because i didnt feel i needed to spend the money on the few features it offered. Yes its faster, but i think that the iOS is a bit biased to the device you use. I think that the current iOS is always designed to run a hair slower on older devices to further entice customers into wanting that new device, i dont think its purely the hardware because the speed bumps are barely incremental. But if the iPhone 7 doesnt offer much in design and function over the iphone 6/6S then i might pass on yet another model and wait for this magical iPhone 8 everyone has been hinting about.

I would have definitely gone for the iPhone se if it would have come with an all new design or even in iPhone 6 shrinkin body but that old iPhone 5 design it completely looks outdated.without that fancy color nobody can judge that's it's iPhone 5s or se. Just some updated stuffs.feels stupid better pay some more buck and get iPhone 6s a lot more features than stupid edition
All of those depending on your viewpoint can be big items. You may be eager for the ip7 but all the signs are that it will be less than stellar.
No 3.5" jack
Waterproofing
Minimal design changes
dual camera with the Plus model
...etc...
You either get the 7 -or- 'suffer' with the 6s+ till 2017.
Absolutely outdated.why should we pay that much money for the outdated model (design)which got some insufficient upgradesNobody can judge that its a new iPhone 5s or SE?! I see, You are just one of those wannabe "hey look at me and my new iPhone" persons. I feel sorry for you. Its not outdated at all, iPhone SE is the best mobile design ever released(Apple or Android).
Every year i get a new iPhone.i love iPhone 6 design that doesn't bothers me.Going for the 4.7 inch model this time don't want to switch to iPhone 6s will wait and get iPhone 7.With one going rumors i am interestedYou may be eager for the ip7 but all the signs are that it will be less than stellar.

If you want to use a smartphone as a status symbol then ...
Apple is looking stale right now. The 7 needs to be a home run. Better screen is a must to boost sales. Enough with the gimmicks like Live Photos and 3D Touch. What's the point of 3D Touch on the weather app? It's should show me some info rather than just city names![]()
I love the design, its classic and I think its so much better then the iPhone 6 design - to each his own, but I love the 5/5s/se design over the 6/6s
Not me, I went from the plus to the SE, and its been great. yes there was some adjustment period, but it was quicker then I thought it would be. I find the smaller phone to be so much more useful one handed then my 6 plus ever was. I no longer have to perform finger gymnastics to use the phone single handed.I dont know how any one could go back to using that tiny little screen after getting used to the 6 size. the iphone 5S size feels so useless to me now. but like you said to each his own

Examples like these is why I gave up on 3D Touch after a day or two. Really minimal savings in keypress saved rather than doing it the conventional way.
Apple really needs to get more developers to support it and better uses cases when implementing.
I'm hedging my bets since I have the 6s
and can revisit this feature again when iOS 10 comes out, but it's a non-factor right now.
